It's got a funky name, and a pretty loaded meaning. Nothing in the way
of info or screenshots... Catch the AF-F preview and see for yourself. I
can say the animation reminds me of flat-rendered CG cel-shading
programs, but pretty slick nonetheless -- assuming the animation budget
doesn't run out in the first few eps :-D

...it's one I got my eye on

AF-F just put out #1, so going to check out in a few hours, will report back...

EDIT: NM, it's only a 9min / 60MB file. Talk about the
ULTIMATE maho-shojo-type anime!! Alice keep daydreaming she can
use magic to spice up her normal life. After almost ending up a red
splatter on the ground, she finds out she's in a world of magic, and decides
she'll learn how to become a witch with apprentice witches Eva and Shelia
(think the cold ice queen and the airheaded ditz). Well, I've seen worse,
and they don't take themselves TOO too seriously... keep it up!

#2 DAMN! ALOT of plot to cram into only 10 minutes... and some
of the animation sequences REALLY skimp on things. CG ain't bad, tho...
doesn't really clash with the 2D cel portion. Lessons to learn this ep:
1) the FIRST lesson of flying should be HOW to stop, 2) there's ALWAYS
conflict in your ideal world -- some hints of a power struggle between
witches and sprites that shouldn't make its way out of the hallowed halls
of power.

So Alice told off the head witch... wonder what they'll do to her

All in all, this series is a nice change of pace for me

I was never interested in the witch/sorceress type mahou shoujo (Ok, Ultra Maniac doesn't count  ), but I might check this out...

AF-F MS #3 FINALLY!! gonna check it out pretty quick here...

Oh, the word is this series is going to be 40 eps long -- well, for such a
short ep runtime, it'd BETTER be!

DAMN! Don't I wish this were a full 25mins ep instead of 8mins.
Telling the head witch how magic should be used earns Alice a knock
over the head as Eva & Shelia try to keep Alice's human nature a secret
-- what, the pureblood / mudblood crap again? Least Alice learned
how to handle the broom better... skateboard-style no less! :-D

Once again, some scenes skimp out on the animation, but other scenes
are quite lush... that 3D cityscape gave me a pretty good sense of vertigo!

... don't mind admitting it, but I am SO HOOKED on this series!!

MS #4 If you have one wish, what would it be? Alice gets posed that
question, but she can't decide. Go figure. Filler... filler... yada, yada, yada...
Alice tries to help Shiela & Eva, and loses something important to her...

Well, guess they needed a reason for why Alice wouldn't / couldn't go
back to the human world (yet). Damn, do I HATE cliffhangers... 'specially
with this series.

Till next time!

MS #5 Pancakes today, tomorrow & everyday! :-D I KNOW that book
Alice was carrying's important, but can we forget the long, dawn-out
yammering about everything else and focus on just HOW a human girl
ended up with it, AND got into the magical world to boot? Methinks we're
having a spot of forbidden love here between magical capable and non-magical
capable, and the stigma it entails. So Alice is accepted -- albeit secretly,
of course -- into a magial class, but her free-spirited style clashes with the
Ice Queen. Oh, and she's STILL as naive about magic as she was in the
beginning...

*shakes head*

Well... KEEP IT UP!! Hope we get a spot of action like what was hinted
in the promo

#6 Ohkay, alittle TOO much on the moralizing side of things for me.
Least Alice learned to fly alittle better... When can _I_ do some moves
like that! :-D

#8 seems the Golden Rule is law when it comes to this magical world...
Eva learned to make the house move *kewl* And it is quite literally
a Witches Graveyard when it comes to the door between the magical
world and the real world...

I REALLY have to stockpile this series and watch it in one go...
question is whether it's the broadcast schedule or AF-F priorities
that's holding things back

I've only seen up to episode seven so far, but I'm really enjoying it!! It's a whole lot of fun and the short episode are great when you don't have much time to spare. I made a point to look for it after seeing some of the art in NewtypeUSA. But then I am a closet maho shoujo junkie

#9 So I guess Eva-chan now has two emotional states, Ice Queen and
PISSED OFF Ice Queen. And are things falling out in the order of things
in this world? An apprentice witch who can't do magic is at her 'grad'
so to speak when a sprite on the rampage crashes things. Second chance
in the making? Meantime, Eva-chan's presented as the loner super-achiever
of the group... NOW they finally get around to this?

Hopefully we get some action soon :-D

#10 Hmmm, get a second chance to strut your stuff, but you just happened
to drop the stuff you need the most to do the magic with... OOOPS!!
And so much for trying to shoot the rampaging sprite -- which BTW looks
like a slug multiplied by several hundred times it's normal size

So Alice-chan has to play the hero again.. but at what cost? Damn, but is
Sheila a hardhead sometimes :-D
