Well, I wrote about Gokusen and Daa Daa Daa, both funny series, but let's go a little bit to the dark side now.

Tamai Shiina, as she used to do every year, went to the island, where her grandparents live for vacation. During her stay, she has found an interesting star shaped creature at the beach. She gave it the name Hoshimaru. From that day an, Hoshimaru was following her to everywhere.
It didn't take much time, until she realized that Hoshimaru had special powers, and there is almost nothing it can't do, and the best thing is, that it's following her every command. Soon she meets other people with similar creatures as companions, and they seem to know a lot more about them then Shiina. It seems that those creatures are used to fight a battle hidden from common peoples eyes and there is nothing less at stake, but the survival of humanity.

Let me say something else too. At first it may look like a childish anime, but it will get much darker, like Now and Then Here and There.
So if you haven't got the nerves, it's better to leave it.

Saw the first episode, then I didn't go on.

From ep 1, you have no idea how the hell this is supposed to turn into a dark anime...

Oh, it will get dark, trust me. It's one of the darkest animes I've ever seen, but you'll have to watch it until the end.
I also heard some rumors about a second season, so if anyone knows any details then please don't hesitate to tell me.
I really want to know, how the story continues.

Narutaru... From I think about episode 7 or 8 it gets really, really disturbing. I've rarely been so disturbed by anything. Other things try to be dark and easily fail, but this...

I never thought such a cute show would turn into slasher horror. After the last episode I just sat entirely shocked for about an hour.

But it is really good, if more than a little confusing.

Anyone read the manga? I've got up to volume 5 and it can help a little with understanding what's going on...but not too much :D

Wth?! Slasher horror? I feel spoiled now. I've read the descriptions about it and thought it's a kiddy anime. I guess it's more the kids that don't want to be little kids anymore :p.

Not only it's not a kiddy anime, but it has a very serious message to the watcher too, which I doubt little kids would understand.

And yeah, after watching it, my first thought was:

Wow, there was only one anime which had a similar impact on me and it was Berserk.
