Okay, I don't care whether you hate or love Linkin Park, but to all anime fans out there, please vote for the GONZO (the company behind the Full Metal Panic! anime) produced video for 'Breaking the Habit' at the MTV website.

Come on; anime needs another notch in its belt. Let's give anime and the superb GONZO our support!!

Yeah, they're one of my faves too, and are apparently massive anime fans (they had Gundam mecha in the video to 'Somewhere I Belong).
I also think the designer behind the visuals was the same guy behind the anime scenes in Kill Bill Vol 1.

Dislike Linkin Park...like Gonzo. It's kinda...obvious they would be anime fans, given their sub/pop culture status. Not saying one should assume, but the region (most) hail from tends to be at the forefront of cultural...innovation. Thanks for the heads up. I should watch the video, then vote. Gundam Mecha was in the music video, from Gundam Wing...Eecch (dislikes wing) G Gundam was better, if not screwier.

Noir kindly showed me a semi-complete clip of the MV, and I swore I didn't
see ANYTHING in the animation that just screamed GONZO.... what I did
see was a liberal use of pencil-sketch type animation -- for which I (at least)
have never seen Gonzo use -- albeit very high quality animation, and VERY
sparse use of CG BGs -- for which IMO is Gonzo's signature style. If no one
had told me specifically Gonzo had done this, I might've completely missed it.
I have to give it that if Linkin' Park's attempt was to do 'something different,'
well, getting one of the premiere animation houses in Japan to (re)render
live-action footage into anim(ation) style.... ya can't get any more different
than that!
Regards
