Anime you would like to see

Alright, after becoming addicted to everything anime, I've thought about many things including anime series I would like to see... actually, only thought of one: Orson Scott Card's sci-fi novel Ender's Game. It's been a long time since I've read this book (read it in middle school) but I still remember it very well.

Anime characteristics of this book:
The children are breed to be military geniuses
Ender is normal, his older brother is a psycho, his older sister is a saint.
The "games" Ender play can be done in sports-anime style.
Fighting aliens in a sci-fi world, though no mechs (they can be added if they want).
And the biggest one of all: The faith of the world is in the hands of children. Children!!! Where else other than in anime do people under 18 save the world all the time?

The sci-fi and zero-G special effects would look better animated than live action (cuz cheezy computer animation doesn't mix well with live video). I would be so excited if Ender's Game is ever made into an anime, dunno if there's a Japanese version of the novel but I'm guessing that would happen first before the anime.

I did a search for "Ender's Game" on ANN's forum and I did find this thread: Have you ever wanted a series to be made in anime But that thread is pretty old so I'll just post a new post here instead. ^_^

They list some other interesting ones. I also think the game Starcraft would be a big hit as an anime, it's already got a great story.

What other stuff would you guys and girls like to see made into an anime?

Well, I know for a fact that Lois McMaster Bujold's Miles Vorkosigan space opera novels are translated into Japanese. I also believe CJ Cherryh's books have been translated. Cherryh is as just a big name as Card in English Science fiction, if not a bigger name.

This leads me to believe it's likely Ender's Game was translated into Japanese, though it was likely many years ago.

I also know there've been plans for an Ender's Game live action movie for years (since I was in high school, and that was 7 years ago). His official site, http://www.hatrack.com , should have info about that somewhere.

Oh, and as to live action and zero g? Two words--Vomit Comet. That's what they used for Apollo 13 (the one with Tom Hanks) and it looks authentic.

Those two would have been my first suggetions. Any Cherryh series would be good, but I think the Pyanfar, Gate of Ivrel, Faded Sun, or Foreigner series would be best.

I would also add David Weber's Honor Harrington series and a couple Elizabeth Scarborough series to the list. Perhaps my favorite Nintendo game, Conkler's Bad Fur Day as well, but I'm not sure how well that would translate into anime.

The Dukes of Hazard Initial D style, ... heheehheeehehehe snif would crack me up.

But a remake in anime of The Lensman or Captain Future would be nice ..
Tales of the Otori would make excelent material for anime.
