Is anyone following this one. I wonder how it goes from Blood: The last vampire to Blood + the series? If they make a 2nd season, would it be called Blood AB- ? Anyways, so far so good. 2nd episode is out.

Supposedly the main char (the girl in the sailor fuku) is the hunter from
B:TLV, she's just lost her memories some how and is now living a normal
life. I decided to add this to my list as a replacement for the other
(flop) vampire anime Trinity Blood.

52 eps... methinks we won't have to hold our breathes too long before
someone picks it up for R1 distro

So far I like this anime (though I had no idea it was a sequel to Blood: The Last Vampire :? ). The characters and the quality of the animation really strike me as something special. The only thing I was a little turned off by was that girl's relationship to her friend. They seemed a little too close, but ah well. It's not gonna stop me from watching this one :).

I've been following this series for awhile now I'm a huge fan. I have the movie and the manga which go hand and hand. But the Blood + series after watching the first 2 episodes seems like a alternate universe that uses the movie and manga as reference. The thing that throws everyone off is the dam manga if it didn't exist then probably you could say it's a sequel to the movie.

But in the TV series Saya seems to have more powers and can do things she never could do before. We'll have to wait and see if all 3 story lines tie together.

Episode #3 is out. Answers a few more questions. I think I will keep following this one as Trinity Blood doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

Finally caught B:TLV which fills in the gaps. As far as I can tell, somehow
the vampire chick went AWOL and the old guy took her in as his daughter.
Somewhere inbetween in Vietnam? she went berzerker and that memory's
been repressed though she does get ocassional flashbacks.

Inbetween this series and TLV, i kinda miss the mixed use of english and
japanese, but I guess it simplifies things for the seiyuus.

Caught up to #4, oh PLEASE let me serve you Saya! :-D Now why didn't
it click with me Chiropteran blood (which seems to be Hagi's true nature)
might be the key to awakening her powers? With 52 eps, they're
certainly taking their time, but it lets them develop the characters and
plot(s) alittle more. I just hope they don't fall into the trap of spending
too much time on one particular thing and/or fall back into flashback hell
when they run out of ideas.

Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) has acquired home video and DVD rights for Blood+ for a number of international market, including North America. The rights also include Asia (outside of Japan), Latin America, Australia and New Zealand.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE) will release the series on DVD, however no time frame for a North American DVD release has yet to be announced.

Formerly Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment, SPHE has previously released Metropolis, Astro Boy [2003] and Cowboy Bebop: The Movie.

Sony is showcasing Blood+ at NATPE this week.
...Riiiiiiiight

No bet that Sony's DVDs are gonna have their 'watered down' version
of the rootkit... you know, the one that 'complies' with the slaponthewrist
they got after the fiasco with their audio CDs

Ah, leave it to Sony to not pass up an oppurtunity to plug DRM into something... :-P
