Tokyopop license Love Hina novels

According to a guy on ANN's forums, it seems that the novels are stories not written by Ken Akamatsu (original author). The manga ended it pretty well, so I'm not really interested in these extra stories.
But this is good news for people hoping that the FMP novels will be published in English too.
