In the near future, a stagnant giant typhoon so called “Grand Roar” suddenly appeared in the West Pacific Ocean. The typhoon changed the world climates. Also, it changed the world picture considerably. The rise of the sea surface, change of ocean currents, and change of the climates caused a lot of damage to all over the world especially Asia. Later, the disaster was called “Case Omega”, and it was deeply engraved on the history.

50 years have passed since “Grand Roar” appeared, they are recovered by the bloody effort. The importance of the ocean route is realized again, and they enter into the second “Age of Discovery”. However, there is a dark shadow over the development. It is organized terrorists, namely, “pirates”. To cope with pirates, private enterprises organize armed self-defense organization.

This story is about girls who embark on an escort ship of a private enterprise in order to fight against pirates.
Naval ships packing state of the art firepower involved in a battle on
the highseas with pirates... where can things go wrong? Let me count
the ways:

- the captain's either got a stick up her butt or is a crybaby
- the XO and ace pilot seem to take 'serving' under the captain literally
- the doc's a confirmed nympho
- the resident twins are someone's abandoned genius brats
- the passageways are used to (in)conveniently hang everyone's underwear
- being an all-female crew, you can guess the amount of respect this
garners both in and out of port... and not all of them are business rivals

to top it off, the major story arc of the first 3 eps was the captain's estranged?
brother, and they haven't seen each other in years. While aboard
ostenebly to perform 'upgrades' every one-man-among-many-female
cliche is pulled out of the book.

If it wasn't for the face the 1st 3 eps had the ship's VLS, 4 dual-gatling
CIWS and holographic CIC in some heavy action against an experimental
stealth ship in the eye of a hurricane I might've passed this series up.

Any ex-squids wanna comment?
