In the year 2041, mankind created their first space colony on the moon. But after a freak cataclysm devastated human civilisation on Earth, the republic of the moon built a domed megalopolis known as Eden. Now in the year 2267, a boy called Takeru spends his time engaging in hover-craft races against rival street gangs, unaware that he is about to embark in the journey of unearthing Eden's origin.
Oldschool fans of Akira are in for a retro trip on this as Takeru just SO
a splitting image of Kaneda in both appearance and gung-ho attitude.
Recommended if you plan on watching this one to watch the preview
as it dumps you right into the story without any sort of preamble.

...the tube race was probably the highlight of ep 1... Takeru should count
himself lucky he didn't end up a red smear on the walls like that

Any moment now Tetsuo is coming running out of one of those tubes loosing his guts.... :)

I love the art in this one and the story does have the potential to make it worth watching.
I see him building a rocket or even tweak a LM and let him return to earth.

#2 seems someone in the paradise called Eden has a vested interest
in keeping secret the TRUE story behind Earth and it's supposed
inhability. Things looking very interesting indeed

Hmm... now that Takeru's come to earth and made his confession, now what?
How ya supposed to get home when there's an obvious techlevel disparity...
Ah, young love... :-D

...FREEDOM SEVEN!!! aaaahhh.. #6 brought a tear to my eye during the launch. What was that quote from Armageddon?
You know we're sitting on four million pounds of fuel, one nuclear weapon and a thing that has 270,000 moving parts built by the lowest bidder. Makes you feel good, doesn't it?
...yep, I'd feel safe riding a rustbucket Saturn V rocket that's been sitting in the dungheap for a couple hundred years...
