You can also downshift. Even with a auto transmission.

Thanks for the suggestions guys... good news is I'm okay, the car's okay, and didn't cause any accidents going
to the shop. THey got it figured it out. Failed brake hoses. $20 for parts, a s**t tonne for brake sys flush,
a s**t tonne of money for labor, go figure.

To say nothing of their "prognosis sheet" on "work that should be done." Funny thing is this thing's lasted
me this long, I REALLY should see about another car, methinks.

@Killer
I've been hearing about down east... did you get left with power, just out of curiousity?

Also when you're in an "oh s**t!" mindset, stuff like downshifting kinda gets locked up by the brain.

@CPOK
I only have one e-brake... and it's pedal based, so it's all or nothing.

Tall and Cold... good news is so far this weekend's been relatively quiet... I'll take what I can get.

It wasn't so bad. Just a foot of snow and a bit of ice. Not enough wind to cause serious problems. The further northeast got worse.

Now all the snow is gone. 40 degs F and raining since last night.

I guess hell can freeze over .... sorry had to make a terrorist joke ;)
(Been reading John Ringo books)

Damn you got lucky, my guess would have been air in the brake lines.

@CPOK but yanking it gives way more fun ... especially with a locked diff :)
Our "winter" here is really soft for now ...

Took a daytrip up to Edmonton with a friend... everything going great till the car decided to spin out into the ditch.
THANKFULLY neither of us was hurt, but waiting around for a trunk to tow us out was no fun. Tack on afterwards I
nearly had a heartattack when going above a certain speed caused the whole car to wobble like it was on a caffeine
high... *sighs*

Otherwise, we both had fun on the roadtrip, and it was away from both our regular lives.

Having to to come in to cover Saturday... guess what, change moratorium ends, and just HOW many changes have been
backed up since they entered year end?

Just... Shoot... Me

Love downtime weekends... Noir and I hit the comics shops and chillaxed to 47 Ronin -- I'll say this, I like
Keanu Reeves in action flicks, ask him to do drama.... meh.

Also managed to blow $400 in groceries... DON'T ask me how I did that...

How's everyone else otherwise?

It's not the router ... it's the docis modem of the isp.
But it's a draytek 2925 and it kinda rocks :)

47 Ronin .... I wonder if he followed acting lessons....
Shadooow recruit was more amusing.

Is this xDSL or cable service? IIRC, never heard of cable having MTU issues ... but I could be wrong.

Meh, give me a good ol' ISR router anyday, man... to each their own.

Shadow Recruit... I swear Mister Clancy may well be spinning in his grave over this one...

I did take today to spend with a friend for a belated birthday and went to watch Frozen. I absolutely LOVED the
OST and vocal cast! -- typical Disney fare with not-so-typical anything. Had to buy the CD after watching and am
listening to "Do You Want To Build a Snowman," "For the First Time In Forever," and "Let It Go" on repeat...

Well, it's official... as of beginning of March the client advised they don't need my group's services. Time to start pounding
the pavement again in case AT&T won't retain me *sighs*

...I'm wondering where all this bad karma is I've apparently been storing to have such a s**ty life the last couple months...

Tall And Cold..alot of it pls.
