HL2... JAPANIFIED!

I thought it was fake when I saw a photo of it a few months ago... but it's quite real, and it looks pretty cool.

I guess Valve figures since FPS PC games don't do well in Japan... they'd recieve this better.

That's pretty cool. I haven't yet played HL2 (cuz computer too slow), but it's on one of my to-play list for whenever I do get a new computer (probably when this current one dies... never? haha)

I play a lot of HL mods though.

Thats cool, but I wouldn't call it Japanified.

In order for it to be Japanified, the following will need to apply:

1) Mecha combat
2) All characters (except one) would be relpaced by hyperactive teenage girls (most with optional nekko-chan prifinalia)
3) Uniforms will be replaced with:
- Schoolgirl uniforms
- Bikinis
- Revealing Body Suits
- Maid Outfits
4) Proliferation of oversized ribbons
5) The one male charater will be pathetic
6) Gang members are replaced by Yakuza

Well what I have heard is that its about charachter. For japanese charachter most been shown and when charachter is niver seen in FPS-games....well they don't like from them.

^ a trait that is not totally inherent in all FPS. In some FPS games, you do see the character, and the character does do more than kill.

Halo for instance; Microsoft did A LOT to market that game in Japan... and it failed. Granted he doesn't talk much, Master Chief is not a mute; so by that standard, the game should have worked in Japan.

Like the Deus Ex games, where you spent more time talking and such than you did pumping people full of lead. I'm surprised that game never really caught on with the japanese...

(I'm willing to bet had DX been advertised more... maybe, just MAYBE it would have made some small impression on the japanese gaming market)
