It has to be a explosive reactive armor ... if not.. it would be so cool to hear a tank commander shout: Shields Up!

NAh, I think it probably triggers the trip sensor and/or proximity sensors. The unit sits on the top, rear of the turret (it is digitilized out in the video) and looks like a mini-phalanex. THe question is, what does it "shoot out".

Yea, seems like a phalanex kind of defense to me too. What's the probability of success? It probably fires either more than one round... or some sorta explosive round/flak that's timed to hit/explode at a certain range.

Pretty neat if it is .. beats a 12 gauge shotgun + binoculars.

@KilLer Prolly some uber hard/dense material like uranium. [area 51]not neutronium

I was thinking that, but notice that it only affects the warehead and not the projectile itself. In the slow motion sequnces, I see lots of things flying at the rpg. Maybe itse some form of electrically charged net?

It looks like it was some sort of Shotgun blast... Hmmmm... It's a really neat Idea. I wonder if theyll ever mount a Phalanx on a tank

				I'm liking it already...
Next think you know they'll strap a CIWS on an Infrantryman's helmet too...
Whatever it is... damned nice sensor suite to run it I'm sure.
