Ten Reasons Not to Own a PS3

Seems Sony's taken a page out of PC Selling Tips and bragging about
how 'powerful' the specs of its new console is, but any computer guy can
tell you specs don't sell much if there's not much to do with it.
...and I'd really like to see what Microsoft's yearlong lead with it's 360 does
to Sony's sales numbers. Anyone who knows the 3dfx v Nvidia story knows
five months' lead time's a godsend that only comes once in a blue moon

Hmmm... Strangle hold? How could it not have a Strangle hold if the System hasn't even launched yet. I doubt that GTA IV isn't going to be on PS3. and btw... KILLZONE 2 and MGS4 is going to be awsome!

not that i'm a sony fanboy or anything, but none of those "10 reasons" sound like valid reasons by themselves, but instead making me feel like the article is trying desperately to sound negative and chase me away from a ps3--being a journalist, i could probably write a "10 reasons you definately want to buy a ps3" using the exact facts--if i cared enough to waste the time anyway
although microsoft's year head start really doesn't look too bad for sony, especially if you look at their sales numbers now comparing what they promised to do at launch... i mean come on, global domination?
360 hasn't sold enough in asia in the whole 7 months to match ps2's sales number in 4 weeks last year (jan 2005)
oh yah, almost forgot, anyone care to look up how big of a head start dreamcast had on the ps2?

Yea, it's a pretty pointless list for people who don't play console games or have enough money. :p
I won't be getting one simply cuz of reason #1.

if theres any console in next generation i would get is the nintendo wii, it seems real fun, shame bout the graphics but i thought the graphics on GC were real good anyway.
Only reason i wouldnt get PS3 is cos of the price and doesnt really hav anythin new in gaming terms

Dreamcast had a one year and two month head start on the PS2. The Dreamcast launched on 9/9/99, while the PS2 launched in November of 2000...

To each their own, but Sony's comments about classing the PS3 as a
'computer' rather than a 'console' is what makes me consider Sony may live
to regret all the delays... the computing industry's intolerant of them, as the
landscape of failed companies attests
...just my 0.02
