Aaw, I think it's really sad. I loved Steve Irwin because whenever you watched him you couldn't believe that such a man existed! I'm gonna miss him.

That is unfortunate to hear, as he did seem to be a decent guy. But in that line of work, you clearly have to be a fool to not understand how imminent your death can be. I'm sure he knew the risks and clearly was willing to take them which lead to his inevitable fate. Tragic yes to his family and friends, but he died doing what he was most passionate about and lived his life with the same passion. Many can never boast the same.
(My favorite memory was his visit on the Conan O'Brien show, with Conan immitating Steve's crocodile wrestling techniques. That segment killed me.)
