The story:
Conan OBrian late night show had a 5 min skit about funny college team mascots, one of which was the F.S.U. Mantatee. There was an issue with the playback, so Conan was filling time and mentioned "HorneyManatee.com". Unfortunatly, because of an FCC regulatory requirement (or so he says), NBC was forced into buying the domain name because they cannot announce a non existant website on air.
So..... they decided to make due with it, since NBC owns "hornymanatee.com" for the next 10 years.
They even have "Anime Manatee"
