Optimus is a Peterbilt 379 and Megatron isn't the tank.
Brawl is.
This isn't exactly a faithful remake of the '80s toon, but more like a hommage with a different kind of audience in mind.
The characters look different, but don't be suprised when their acting is reminiscent of their old cartoon and comic incarnations.

'Hommage' in Hollywood-speak usually means 'f*k it up beyond recognition,

Somehow, the 'going for insane poly-count models with uber-robotic forms'
justs doesn't work for me. Looks like hunks of metal that just can shapeshift...
