How is this day experienced in the states?
We got some media coverage here in holland but it's a day just like any other.
Even the LHC got more coverage.

Eh, not much happened, except that my psychology teacher expressed his views on nationalism, and how it's f*cks things up. then again I don't watch TV so I would have no idea.

New York, of course, had a rememberance ceremony at the former site of the towers. The names of the dead and missing were read aloud and families were permitted to descend on the site for what will be the last time. Flowers were also strewn in the reflecting pool on the site as well. It was a very somber day, cloudy and overcast. I believe the PA area (where one of the planes went down), as well as the Pentagon, have also constructed memorials. I usually wear an American flag lapel pin to comemorate the ocassion, but not this year for some reason. I can't believe it was 7 years ago already. I remember every moment of that retched day.

yah, I was working in the city then. I had front row seats from my building which was a couple of blocks away. Me and my team was suppose to have go to the north tower for training but due to a client issue we had to skip it.
My wife worked at Morgan Stanley. She was in midtown and lost a few of her coworkers who were in the towers.
Of course, its also my wedding anniversary.
