Best Metallica Album

I've been so obsessed with Metallica for the last who knows how many weeks. Buying whatever CD of theirs I didn't have yet that I could at the store, and 2 days ago getting the Metallica Guitar Hero game for The Wii, which is loads of fun. I think ...And Justice For All is the best Metallica album, with Master of Puppets being a close second. I think the black album is overrated. Yeah, it had it's share of good songs, but it's not all everyone's making it out to be. Disclaimer:Just because something is overrated does not necessarily mean it sucks.

Ride the lightning }B>
Fade to black is perhaps their best work.

Who the heck voted for St. Anger??

Not yet. They probably will eventually though. Almost every single legendary band has one. I think if they do make one, it will be a 2 disc set though, because they have 10 studio albums, and didn't have a Best of collection in the past.

They are not a legendary band. If they still had Cliff Burton they might be.
Judas Priest
Black Sabbath
King Crimson
now those are truly "Legendary" bands, especially Sabbath. You know a legendary band when they had jump started many careers (like the Yardbirds).
Don't get me wrong.
Metallica is an awesome band, but once they started into the mid 90's, they ended up being more like Styx. (i.e. they're more of a corporate entity now).
Black was also a good album. But I reach for Ride the Lightning more.

I'm sorry, but I don't like King Diamond.

LOL
I ment to write "King Crimson" not "King Diamond"
but you probably don't like them either. I wouldn't blame you for that either, King Crimson.... is an acquired taste.. LMAO
But even so, they're still a very influential band which started quite a few careers.

I like King Crimson. John Wetton used to be in that band, and I have an album he made when he was with them on vinyl.
Anyway, did any of you guys ever see that movie "Johnny Got His Gun"? It's the movie that Metallica used in the "One" video, and the novel the movie is based on was also the inspiration for the song. I watched it last night. What a sad and depressing film. You couldn't help but feel sorry for the main character all the way through, because he could not see, hear, speak or smell. He finds a way to communicate with the soldiers or whatever who brought him in at the end of the movie by using morse code by bopping the back of his head on the bed. He tells them that he wants them to kill him and put him in a glass coffin to be displayed at a circus freak show so people can be reminded of how horrible war is. They refuse, and make him live the rest of his natural life with his condition.
