The combined image looks wonderful K
I wish it were easier to scan without getting the blurred spine.
I wouldn't mind a pro sized scanner, either
Here's
the image in smaller-size .jpg- but I can't wait to see the improved version.
I'd scan more spreads if I had the patience to clean em up and piece em together, maybe I'll have to dig them up if anyone else is interested.

There is a way, but you must sacrafice the magazine. If its a stapled spine then its not too bad, just pull the staples out and scan the seperated pages, then repalce the staples and no harm done. If its a glue spine, then you have to get an Xacto knife and *C*A*R*E*F*U*L*L*Y* split the spine between the pages you want to scan. There ain't no goin' back at that point.

DM is normally squared spine- bound and glued
I try to open up the pages as much as possible, but sometimes parts of the image are still inside the binding. I'm not shy about bending it up, but I've yet to be brave enough to cut em
