the only place I went to in Singapore was the airport. I'm not touching thier soil if I can help it. The laws are too strict, I'm staying home.

i would like to clearify some info.. i want to be as accurate as possible..

1. tessa's brother (Leonardo) seems to be on the 'other' side.. the head officials mention if Leo is involved it would be the worst situation.. he is (apparently) a menace to the government and mithriel (did i spell this right??).. and tessa has something to do with her brother's defection because . she blames herserlf .. unfortunately i don't know what happened...

2. the "shadow" bodyguard's code name is re-i-su (i don't know whether this stands for "rays" or "race" etc..

) he disguises his voice and wears a mask (i think) when he helped kaname.. (maybe he is the school president..) before sousuke leaves he talks with the new guard.. apparently sousuke doesn't like him very much..

3. the reason sousuke was angry when he received his orders from tessa was that he was forbidened to contact chidori any longer...

4. while chidori gives him a haircut he questions the "warm" feeling.. and
5. we get to see the new side of sousuke... he not only disagrees with tessa, he challenges her views as well. she tells him that chidori will be looked after by the other guy and she will be safe.. and he disagrees and says that's not enough... and tessa gets angry.. and she tell him he has important duty.. and he questions "and.. what duty is that???" (meaning what is more important that guarding chidori) and he says "is that an order?" and tessa loses it... and THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT::: she accuses sousuke of "pretending" to be an obedient soldier all these time.. and his true character/nature is that he is a "hidoi egoist" ..only wanting to be with her and don't want to be bothered by anyone.. and she startes crying.

. and she surprises sousuke by saying she will take him away from chidori using any/every necessary actions.. (i think it was a threat>> i am not a fan of tessa.. so maybe i am being too harsh)

5. sousuke and gaulon's conversation is a very interesting one.. gaulon reveals why he is so "obessed" with sagara

6. the enemy fighter (stun by sousuke's fighting ability) asks him who he is.. and he replies " sophomore at the jindai high school........ in charge of trash/recycling duty.. i am sagara sousuke" after that fight.. he is ordered to come back to the sub. but he rejects it saying that he has to go to school.. (kind of cute..)

7. sousuke, tessa, two old officials (matthew something and calilin) and other high ranking officer gather and discuss..sousuke wants to "alter" his contract .. he is very bold, articulate, etc. he can go back to tokyo,, but he will still be part of the group because he is the only on who can operate the "R".

these two volumes focuses on sousuke and the changes in his character. he questions what he wants, what is important, what he values.. etc. he wonders why he always gets this "warm" feeling when he is with chidori.. and he asks himself what those feeling are.. .. anyway, OH NO~~~~ i think i wrote too much.. buy its really hard to summarize two volumes .. too much info... enjoy

Yup. This is really interesting. And it seems that if someone else could pilot Arbalest, he'd be getting a BCD on the spot. Or at least, I would do that to him. Now, back to trying (emphasis:Trying) the first one.

You'll also want to have an extra huge Kanji guide. Well, unless you're very fluent with kanji anyway.

Damn, that would probably help me finish the book alot... or maybe just confuse me and drive me crazy, whichever comes first. There's alot of different lines in here though(His choice of music comes to mind).

Thanx so much ruri for keeping us updated as to what's been going on in the novels. I think the more I read up on how Tessa is, the more I truely dislike her (didn't like her from the beginning, she's too weak and mousy, so I know how you feel ruri as well as my other friends) I'm really glad to see Sousuke stepping up and telling her like it is instead of having to be a yes ma'am no ma'am type of person, if he needs or wants to finally get his life or priorities straight. I also like how they are showing more on Sousuke's feelings and how he's slowly progressing on what he's feeling for Chidori

I was totally shocked to see Tessa threatening Chidori's life if Sousuke didn't change his ways

But the way they explain more in the novels, I'm liking more than what they've showed in the anime, it gives us more insight with the characters. Can't wait to see what else you have planned to tell us next!

I totally agree about Tessa. I don't like the weak and mousy types. Rei from Eva falls into that catagory. I don't know why she's so popular.... :-x

I am overjoyed that Sousuke's feelings are blossoming. *giddy*

I'm not. I tend to like the "Emotionless drone" type Sousuke better, I don't know why. Although I don't really agree with the means, COs ARE responsible for their subordinates afterall. What Sousuke did was nothing short of insubordination, and sufficient enough to have him discharged from any Miliatry organization (Who would YOU trust with that Assault Rifle? The ever-loyal drone, or the emotional nut?). Hell, in the Soviet Union, that would have probably earned him a bullet. I do however, concede that yes, the quiet ones tend to be more agressive when they stop being quiet. I can relate to it (I'm normally quiet, but when some guy just wouldn't stop annoying me, well... let's jusy say the end result was a broken glass window, a bloody nose, and a bloody fist.). Although I shoot better than she does (By a wide margin. I'm handy with a rifle or pistol.)

True that the emotionless drone does make the character considering his upbringing but I think that within time, its good to see that he can learn to start being open to the things around him that he needs to feel in the first place. And yeah I understand about the insubordination situation cause I've served my time in the army, I know how that goes but with the miltary side I can see Tessa letting him know whats what but she's not in charge of ruling his private life and what he's allowed to feel or think. And I do think that you can't be a cold hearted, non-feeling human for the rest of your life, having some sort of stablility of saneness and start "feeling" is also an important factor. Being overzealous is one thing but Tessa doesn't have the right to control him completely. Pull the leash too hard and not only will they bite but will retalilate. I don't think they would've gone as far as discharging him cause they know he is irreplaceable.
