Question on AS pilot ranking

Post by Sgt. Sagara Sousuke »

I just wanna know about the colors strips on the AS pilot shoulders.
Wat colors represents wat rank?
All I know for now is:

Liutenent: Gold
Sergeant Major: Pink or purple
Sergeant: Red (but Kurz's strip is blue, why?)

Any thoughts on this?

Pretty sure it's just artistic license, like how in Gundam Seed Kira's suit is turquoise while Mwu's is purple.

Never thought about this before. I always thought it was a bit of color
coding to tell who gets what uniform. :-D

On a good day, a Tomahawk can fly into the door of a two-car garage at the distance of several hundred miles. And that can ruin your whole day.

Then again remember that mithri is a mercenary organization though they carry official ranks they would not be recognized via the conventions on POWs or solders rights so those color bars may not mean a thing they might just be the pilots choice or a way of identifying which as they belong to and where they belong in there squad.

wats mafa? :-D
U're probably rite. But they do hv a strong voice in the Pentagon. Remember the last few episodes? Russian Fox, erm... i mean Kalinin got the Admiral to halt the attack on TDD-1 even after i fired upon them. For a mecenary group, their opinions sure count for a lot...

Color Bars are most likely personal preference or denotate squad role. Gold=Squadron Commander
Blue="Sharpshooter"
Pink="Flight Leader" Flight being 3 ASes. Melisssa, Kurz, and Sousuke.
Red="Medium Range/ Close Range"

But it really just looks like personal preference. Maybe watch the homeland arc again...It might clue us in.

Hmm, just checked the "Wind Blows from Home" eps, and Grey's blazes are grey (laff), while everyone else's are brass/gold/bronze. Sousuke's are of course red as usual.
