uwah! There's a topic on this!

Post by tiptoe39 »

I don't know how many females are around here but am I alone in thinking the Mamoru actor has got to be one of the better actors on the series? He has THE most expressive face. He says two words and I feel more than I do when other actors go on for pages. He could create chemistry with ANYONE.

He's not quite as good when he's fighting, but as Mamoru, he's perfect.

Who do you think is good/bad in this series actingwise? All in all it's a good cast, ne?

I'm so excited they got Han Keiko back as Luna's voice... :-)

Tippy
voice of Serena in the ill-fated Sailor Moon S Fandub and keeper of the ORIGINAL Tuxedo Mask Shrine :-)

Best cast member?

I can't really tell. I know there's a difference in acting between Hollowood... I mean Hollywood and... Japanese acting, so I can't tell too much.

I personally think Zoisite (though I hate "her" {Damn DiC} in the anime) looks the best/coolest. I think his acting is cool as well.

But when did Motoko turn into a bumbling idiot? He was supposed to be similar to Mamoru. Usagi's mom is totally different. She's no longer strict governess (from what I remember from 4+ years ago), she's now some hip and happenin (and somewhat off the kilter) woman. Well, I like this one better actually :).

Eh, what are you talking about. Ikuko-mama was always a space cadet. Never forget the infamous dub line: "You can be ANYTHING you want to be, dear... as long as you don't borrow my clothes!"

Tee-hee.

...don't remember that line either, unless it was from one of the later series

All in all, I think this is an interesting reinterpretation of the anime / manga
At first the CG Luna kinda creeped me out, though since they inserted that
kodomo-Luna, THAT'S been the LEAST of my worries :shift:

Acting-wise, sometimes it seems they overdo their lines, or make the
script overly melodramatic, and the char interrelationships have been
reinterpreted, but...

@Tsushima
Strict Governess? I'd've put her more the 'happy homemaker'
But yeah, she's a go-go-go crackup when they have Ikuko-mama on screen :-D

I WANT MY SUBBED SM #33!!

Maybe all I can remember is Ikouko locking her daughter out of the house on the very first ep so she could study her English. Hehe, maybe she wasn't all that bad.

#33 is out... by a DIFFERENT group.

It was very enterntaining, looking at the list and seeing #33, then immediately clicking it... then I realize it's not TV-Nihon. After that I cancel the transfer.

I'll wait for TV-Nihon's sub... this time.

Endymion Group, perhaps? HAS anybody spared some bandwidth
to check them out? They seem to have it out not even 24 hours after
it's broadcast in Japan... which leads me to believe they're only RAW
providers, but I could be wrong...

@tiptoe
YOU were part of that SMS fandub project? Oh.... wow!

... i think

Cool, somebody remembers it from way back when. Had so much fun on those four episodes - also did Serena in a bad-quality fandub of the R movie... wish I had that one to do over, though.

...quick review on #33-34... remember this was RAW, so I'm only guessing
at half of this stuff...

- tender moments between Rei & Father... err, can we say absenteeism
during the hour of need
- Ami wants to (still) follow in her mother's footsteps and become a
doctor -- least they kept that part. Sounded like she had to move
and Ami had to come with her, but Ami didn't want to leave her friends.
- Youma of the Week: can we say 'Flower Power'? :-D Darn, thought
they'd finally get Tuxedo Mask throwing some roses finally...
- Ami & Rei girls' slumber party!! WOW!!
- Motoki... bundling his STUFFED turtle?
- When'd Usagi & Ami get new school uniforms? They graduate already?
- Speaking of Mamoru... Mio does the 'trip into your beloved' routine...
after catching a look at his pix on Usagi's cameraphone :storm: BITCH!!
...setting Mio up as Beryl's alterego in this world perhaps?

OH SO WAITING!!

#35 Venus ep again. Gets up close & pesonal with Zoisite...

Some file times might help... I don't feel like watching the whoel thing right now.

If you're getting scrambed green blocks and such... it either means that your codecs don't work... or you don't have the right ones, or that the file has been corrupted somehow, or that the file was never fully downloaded.

Or it could have a deeper meaning like your hard drive is slowly failing :-D
