Question from a Newbie ^_^;;

Post by Perishing Twinkie »

Hi all!
I just recently finished both seasons and adored them, and am naturally rooting for a third season. I am also a big S/K shipper, but I find it oddly difficult to read fanfics as by the end of Fumoffu I still felt like he didn't *like* Kaname enough that it would be fair to her.

Anyway, my question is this:(SPOILERS!)

At the end of the last ep of Fumoffu, Sousuke tells Kaname to take off her clothes and lie on the bed... BEFORE he knew what the side effects of the bacteria was. Why? It was not until later that he heard that it only disintegrated clothing. Regardless, if he DID know, why did he tell Kaname to take hers off? They would have come off anyway.

Sorry if this is a clone, I'm just curious to hear opinions on this. :)

Because he read the manual?

It's like if your watch strap is going to snap. You might as well take it off instead of waiting for it to snap. No?

And welcome. :-D

Welcome new person thingy :)

He knew what it can do, but wanted to be sure.

He told Chidori to take her colths off so they wouldn't get damaged. Since the bateria die in a couple of hours, she can put her clothing back on at that time.

That's why I set my fic after the novels set after both seasons, End of Day by Day. Those novels really help to evolve Sousuke's feelings for her. He truly does begin to realise that he loves her.

How? Shouldn't the bacteria have disintegrated her clothes by then??

EDIT: Unless you're saying the bacteria only works when in contact with skin or something. I should check the anime again...

The bacteria eat oil based textiles (hence it as called the 'full monty virus', but its human-born. Meaning the person acts as the host (hence the strange sideeffect of relaxing strained back muscles). If it didn't, then the clothing would have disintegrated a few minutes after the bateria was airborn. Without food (i.e.) textiles the bacteria die off. The delay looks to be cause by the bacteria migrating from the lungs to the skin where they become active. It also seems the bacteria does not get airborne again after it migrates.

Of course real bacteria dosn't work like that. Sounds like I need to make a few new entries in my copy of the Anime Rules Bible

I just finished the novels, they were enthralling. I was so utmostly (word?) pleased that finally, Sousuke was shown to be human. I pray for another season, even just another small handful of eps, that reflect the novel's events. The novels came after FMP, but they can work even after Fumoffu, I find. *__*

I think those two novels are actually set after Fumoffu as well. The first season concluded at the end of August, and in one of the Tessa eps of Fumuffo, it said that it was September. End of Day by Day starts half way through October.

I believe the translated novels start a few days
after the first season ends and goes on through
Fumoffu and continues. The ones that have been
translated and are available for download, I
mean (since I don't have access to anything
else...). --__--

I noticed one part of the translation that said that the events of the first season happen a few days before. I think this was a translation error. Or perhaps the novels that the first season were based upon were set on different dates to when the anime series occurs.

The last few episodes of the first season are set in the last week of the summer holidays, just before they start second sememster of school (2nd sem starts around 1st September). End of Day by Day starts around the 13th October.
