Novel set after 'End of Day by Day

I searched for this and could only find one post saying about how Kaname and Tessa were born on the same day, so sorry if this is a repost of the same info.

In 2003.3.25, the latest novel, "Odoru Very Merry Christmas" was released. The summary page in Japanese reads:

"Kaname goes on a cruise with her Jindai High School classmates as part of a sudden field trip. The date is December 24th. It's Christmas Eve, and it's also Kaname's birthday! On a very special day like this, something had to happen. As if it had to occur during Sousuke's vacational absence, the cruise ship was suddenly sea-jacked by a group of terrorists!! However, Kaname notices the self-claiming "absolute-evil" terrorist has bushy-uncombed hair with the same stoic facial expression....wait a minute!?

As the love triangle between Kaname, Tessa, and Sagara heats up, you are invited to one of the most wierdest comedic adventures that occurred in the Holy Night."

In a book signing event for this book, Mr. Gatoh Shoji explained that this new novel embarks as an opening introduction to Part Two of "Full Metal Panic." With Sagara Sousuke putting clear his own emotions and feelings, it is also where the actual love triangle between Kaname, Tessa, and Sousuke is resolved. "Say it as an intermission before embarking on a new journey."

I'm shocked to here that this is only the introduction to part two of FMP! How many parts are there gonna be?!

That's just awesome. Little apprehensive as always about the love triangle (I'm a Kaname + Sousuke fan). Damn...now I know of TWO love triangles (or hexagons) that are up in the air. TM and now FMP.

/me waits anxiously for book...damnit this is going to be hard to read if it goes Tessa's way...Nervous Nervous Nervous. Excited.

Uh...Av? Seeing as the novel came out in March of 2003 it'd be a little late to send death threats...but then we'd be "Oh this sucks" for the rest of series...Hopefully. Hopefully.

I believe you mistunderstood me cult...I was speaking of the new one. You really never can tell...End of Day by Day was sealing their relationship as far as I'm concerned...but then again...I root for Ryoko in Tenchi Muyo. Who knows indeed.

Well, with the events of 'End of Day by Day', the fact Sousuke pretty much can't survive without having Kaname by his side (i.e. he turns back into a drone wiithout her), the fact he almost realises he loves her, and the friendship talk between Sousuke and Tessa, I doubt Tessa will have her way.

But then you never know....

I really like Tessa, as a character, but not as a girlfriend for Sousuke.

Did he mean Fumoffu when he said "part 2"? That can't be right though... after the end of End of Day by Day, there's no way that Fumoffu is what happened AFTER... *_* the 2 novels were so... fantastical in terms of progressing the K/S relationship, an area where Fumoffu was lacking.

The first 11 novels make up Part 1. These consist of;

The novels that make up the first TV series,
The novels from which a number of stories were taken to make up Fumoffu,
The novels that make up End of Day by Day.

Odoru Very Merry Christmas is either the last novel of Part 1 or the first novel of Part 2.

From the looks of it, Part 2 will be completely different, leaving both the love triangle and the villians of Part 1 behind.

So, nope. Fumuffo is from Part 1.

'Odoru' means 'dance', so the title is 'Dancing Very Merry Christmas' o.O
