I think its the other way around. After the attack on the puppy and the lie, thats when the Lucy persona developed. Its no wonder they become murderous when they develop thier vectors. Children are cruel to them since they are different, at which point they wish they were stronger in order to defend themselves.

Its also interesting how the only male diclonus (so far) had no vectors. Wonder if there is a connection.

ok just cleared ep 13... wow great ending for elfen lied... i love it!!! ^_^ lucy got both her horns shot off... lucy vs 100+ infantry... seems like she killed em all... she returns to kouta's side at the end of coz...

the only thing that bothered me at the end was that u didnt actually see her...
Since I can really get into series. I get exited when cool stuff happens
and I feel bad when bad stuff happens...

When I saw her horn go off the second time i was like @_@ WTF
Noo that didn't just happen.. and I started to feel kinda bad

anyway I think I would have feelt alot better if I actually saw her at the end.
than just her shadow... (its a mental effect I guess )

Interesting series, interesting ending. I wouldn't rate it 10/10 or anything like that, but definitely the most intriguing anime this summer, maybe this year.
