Poor thing.

Three people is a swarm? You're new to this whole online argument thing, aren't you?

Seriously, this is so mild it's not even funny.

Reactions are interesting? In this case, I'm inclined to agree.

Three people is a swarm?
Maybe a small swarm?

You see, jokes tend to be funny. And I'm not commenting here about the fic; I couldn't care less and haven't even read it. It's due to your stubborn attitude and how defensive you are when someone first comments about how good your fic is and then politely gives some advice, which you rudely turn back at them. Maybe I'm one of the few people who believe that authors are indebted to their readers and should treat them with just a little more respect. But, hey, what do I know? You're the King, ne?

You see, jokes tend to be funny.
Aside from a joke, it was also meant as a playful comment. Because while I wasn't about to stop using dots as I chose, I didn't want to simply be rude about it (...failed miserably, it would seem...).
haven't even read it.
Then why did you show up in this thread, unless it's just fun to see what folks are chatting about? If anything, some of the other comments that were written were more snide than anything I said. Inclusing this:
But, hey, what do I know? You're the King, ne?
Common courtesy, kindness, and all that kind of stuff should be for everyone, right? If I offended folks, I apologize.

More than likely because a certain someone *cough*me*cough* found this situation so highly amusing that she posted a tongue-in-cheek commentary on the whole thing off-site. Quite a few people have read it and made notes.

Grammar counts. Style counts, structure counts, recognizing your audience counts. If you choose to disregard them for the sake of your "artistic license," go right ahead. No one's holding a gun to your head, for God's sake.

It's worth noting, however, that those who are overly-defensive often have their own personal misgivings about the subject at hand. Food for thought.

Simply because I was looking forward to reading this story when I had a little time, but your poor attitude has simply and completely turned me off the possibilty. Sorry, but this kind of thing really grates upon me because, as a poor mediocre writer, I tend to become aggravated by people who don't treat those who have taken the time to read their fics with proper respect. But that's just my personal opinion, I guess. I don't care if someone doesn't take advice onboard, but unless something is completely unjustified, they should at least be respectful to their audience. If not, they tend to find readership wanning.

And I think we should stop with the commenting on this thread. If there's anything else to say, there are other means of communication, but this is Jae's forum and we shouldn't bother her with this.
