YOu've got a point there, but then again, ODBD and DVMC are very tight storylines - the original FMP series was GONZO taking both the serious FMP novels and Gatoh's sidestory 'silly' novels. ODBD and DVMC (and might as well include COMO) are serious in tone.
Actually, it might fit ODBD and DVMC. 6 for ODBD, like how the A21 arc was, or the Khanka arc.

@Wild Goose thanx for the clarification, tho IMO the melding of both the school-life
and military-life of Sousuke was what made the 1st FMP! so successful. Plus
it gave enough time to get a sense of the characters and their interactions
with each other.
Guess it's a case of we'll wait and see

there's one thing bugging me tho, about TSR. In the seiyuu list, the character of 'Wraith' is not listed. Does this mean Wraith won't be making an appearence in the anime?
I hope not. Wraith does play some role in the story.. i.e. Kaname blackmailed him/her into getting her a plane ride to Hong Kong. We wants our ambigious selfish spy in this one.
oh, some news tho --> the WOWOW site has updated the TSR page. Namely, the episode listing page. The summary and title for the first episode has been released. Dang my unl33t Jpn skills...

These two boxes are a re-release of the first series, coming out 'in anticipation' of TSR (why TSR shows up in the description, but not the item name.)
Those goodies (well, the cap) is so great to try to get people who already bought it to buy it again. *sigh*
But, it looks like the two boxes will have some new artwork, I don't know if the dvds will be remastered or have some extras on them, ect... (prolly not- it's still 2 eps per disc)
Anyhow, the two boxes are about almost 20000 yen each, and will be released in late July and late August respectively.

Here's the translations of the episode synopses on website of the first two episodes:
#1: Ending Days (air date 7/13)
The secret, ultranationalistic organization Mithril dispatches Sousuke's unit to conduct refugee aid in the Barik republic, which is in the middle of a civil war. Even though Mithril has the newest and best equipment in the world, government troops carrying equipment to oppose them lie in wait, as if they had anticipated Mithril's intervention. Sousuke and the Arbalest are driven into the predicament of no retreat.
#2: Underwater Scene (air date 7/20)
Kaname Chidori is being targeted by someone!? Shinji Kazama informs Sousuke that unauthorized pictures of Kaname are on someone's website. Sousuke immediately sets off to inspect the school to restrain the criminal. Meanwhile, contrary to these ordinary days of Sousuke and the others, a mysterious Chinese girl, and the existance of what seems to be an enemy organization is brought to light.
