Are we in a weird parallel universe? [New novel detail.]

Sousuke is living with another woman? Howizahumminawho?

I gape.

Considering we all (I think) know how COMO ends and which character is MIA, the 'shipper in me is enraged while the reader/writer is confused beyond words. I'm trying to figure out how Canon!Sousuke would effectively betray Kaname like this. At the very least, it seems OOC for him to share quarters with some random person, even if he has mellowed out a bit and adjusted to civilian life. I'm sure there are circumstances (at least, there had better be, otherwise this is appallingly lazy writing), and I would so love to be told that I'm suffering another bout of baseless paranoia. At the very least, I'd like to know what the hell is going on, even if it's as bad as "Sousuke's long-lost friend comes back and he realizes he's been in love with her all along, etc. etc." Ugh, it's a bad fanfic gone awry.

So, comments? And please feel free to tell me that I'm being paranoid, since I'm fairly sure I am. This one just really knocked me for one hell of a loop.

I nearly gagged when I saw that, I just don't get it! She looks like she might be wearing military clothes, maybe she's another Mithril soldier? Maybe she was made to live with him and he has no choice in the matter? Maybe she's only staying for a few weeks?!? Am I clutching at straws?!?

I really, really hope she isn't going to fall in love with Sousuke too. Having two ladies after him is good, because when he makes his choice *cough*Kaname*cough* it means more because he had options, but a third and it just ends up getting silly. I don't want another harem comedy, Sousuke is fabulous but there's plenty of other guys out there for the ladies to swoon over... Mardukas, maybe?

Has anyone read the book its in?!?

Nah, Sousuke's not going to dump Kaname for her. It's THEIR show. More than likely, she's helping him look for Kaname. I wouldn't be too worried. It's just not in Sousuke's character.

I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be Wraith.

i know next to nothing about the manga or novels (haven't had time to read yet) but man... that's umm, interesting

i agree with you all; souske most likely wouldn't go after another girl; but then again we could be surprised... and jealousy would be something we don't see too often with kaname (again from my knowledge)

This is from what's currently running in DragMag. I don't know what info that person who posted in that forum has, or where they got it, but it looks like he's just trying to stir the pot.

I've got the chapter illustrations through the August issue. I'll work on getting those scans webready so everyone can judge for themselves what they think may or may not be going on

Damnit! I'll bet that she's going to develop a thing for Sousuke and try to convince him that he's better off with someone who can relate to him instead of Kaname and he'll turn her down in the end. I know this because everytime I think of an idea for a fic, Gatou writes about it. >_<
