What the hell is a Mook?

*Please don't say 'You are'*
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.

There is now a larger version of the cover image online- scroll a page
Not a 'large' one, just larger...
The audience applauded, even though it was not clear what Bush meant.

(Moving away from the COMO thread, just because I'm difficult like that...)

From the novel summary at Animesuki:

"Sousuke begins to feel that living a life with Nami, her assistants, Lemon isn't so bad. It has only been several months since he decided to stake out on his own to find Chidori, but he begins to forget about her and why he has to go through all the trouble against Amalgam. Couldn't I just forget everything? Couldn't I start a new life here with them?"

...you know, maybe it's just me, but something about Sousuke having that kind of reaction sets off my internal "OOC Alarm". Either that, or Sousuke's really nearing his breaking point. Again. But since my paranoia and misgivings kind of started this thread in the first place, I'll be quiet on that front. ^^;

Also, "Lemon"? If the guy in question is French, hell, why not go for "Citron"? I can't look at that name without immediately flashing back to Futurama ("Private Lee Lemon, Sir").

[ecs]It's not that he forgets about Kaname...he just gets wrapped up in life there, and then just kind of wonders about the possibility of staying there.[/ecs]

Ah, that makes more sense. So far I've been wrong with just about every conclusion I've come to, so I didn't really want to jump the gun again.

That "Lemon" thing is still bothering me for some reason, though. I'll bother my French professor on Thursday to see if that's a feasible French surname.

That is STILL unacceptable! I hope he wasn't considering it any longer than an eighth of a second.

Sousuke: You maybe I could just...

Karma: WHAP!

Sousuke: ...On second thought, maybe that's not such a great idea.

:-P

@ Anysia: I figured you'd have something to say about that. I wasn't too happy about it when I heard it either.

Raymond? Ramon? Rayman? Ramen? Le Man? :-P Nothing seems to fit...

And yeah, love the dress. :-D Seeing Leonard and Nami on the cover just kinda kills the mood, though.

[ecs]It's not like he dwells on the idea, though. It's just something he thinks about. He does a LOT of thinking in this book...the whole book follows him.[/ecs]

So BOMF doesn't talk about Tessa, the TDD, or the rest of Mithril? But I guess the end of that book hints the return of the Arbalest.

don't remember anything like that at all in BOMF but here's a rough translation of what was going through sousuke's mind near the end of the book when he thought he was going to die:

Chidori...
I want to see you... no matter what. I realize it's impossible, but I just want to see you.
Please stay with me.
Pat on my back, say something to me.
That is enough, I don't need anything more.
Chidori...
so lonely
so cold
At least, just one more time, let me......

and that's it XD i don't think he could have ever forgotten about her with this mentality

oh yah notice somebody back in the COMO thread mentioning about wanting to see a kiss? go read the short story about the drunkard and you won't be disappointed.... sorta XD

About the "Lemon guy", from what I understood, he looks like Jean Reno, who played in the movie Leon ( from Luc Besson, with the young Natalie Portman, Gary Oldman, etc.)
Maybe it is just a parralel between Leon and LeMon, just a guess

...huh? You think this guy here looks like Jean Reno??

As for his name, obviously, there is no official spelling on it...in Japanese it's spelled like this: remon- so it could be something else...it just sounds a lot like lemon :)

And I would definitely say Sousuke never loses interest in Kaname...he just gets a little discouraged, like anyone would.
