8C competizione prototype... at Nurenburgring god I could murder you right now. We NEVER get that sort of stuff here in Australia.
Not all the work, some. Things like the drive-shaft couplings and the de-dion bushing on the rear suspension are a tad beyond me. Engine work and minor body work I can do though. Just removed the air-con system from it. Saved myself 15kg of weight, plus it was all forward of the front wheels. Handles even better now.
I quite like the 2.0L motors. Sure the V6 has more get up and go, but the four cylinder cars often handle better, just becaus there's less weight out front dragging them around.
The Alfa club over here his pretty compeditive. There's a couple of race-spec 105 GTVs here that are just insanely fast. If you can keep up with them you're generally considered to be doing very well, no matter what you're driving. There's a bloke in the Lotus club with a race Europa S2, he came back elated at last Speed on Tweed 'cause he was ahead of them. Give you an idea: Dad runs a '97 Lotus Elise S1, and he's usually a good couple of seconds behind them...
Going off topic here, but serioulsly: Full Metal Panic! forums, not exactly the sort of place I would have expected to run into another Alfisti
