That was exactly what got my attention while I was in the beginning of my FMP! exposure.

"Dude, the main character's last name is Sagara! He even has Kenshin's scar! Someone's a copier!"

Yes, Sanosuke and Sousuke, Sagara and Sagara, Scar, and scar both like X's, both great mangas/animes.

[ecs]Actually, the manga made me cry... [/ecs]

The animation seemed way choppy in storyline. But the animation was the first thing I saw. I saw the first episode on CN one night as a rerun and just bought the animated series - twas that impressed :-D

Anecdotal incident: I read Rurouni Kenshin from my friend's stash. One day post-exams, he brought the entire set to class. (The teacher allowed it.) So I was reading, when the teacher came over and inquired about it. Unfortunately, when he examined the contents, the first volume he picked was Vol. 15 - and he came across the page where Kamatari flashed Kaoru and Misao.

He didn't burn the books or anything, but I have a sneaking suspicion that he still thinks Rurouni Kenshin is one of those Love Hina-level fanservice manga.

Hahhahahaha! Too bad, RK has IMO one of the best art I've ever seen in a manga. The first arcs were a bit jolty but the Shishio and especially the Jinchuu arc were the best.

The whole series hasn't finished yet over here, but I saw a scan of the last few pages of RK, and that got my whole body tingling with sheer emotions. Especially with Kenshin's last quote.

What part of the manga made you cry?
