I have a few questions :D

Post by Red6 »

Hey guys, I have a few questions that I don't think violate any of the forum rules here.

1) Is there a season 3? Because I thought the ending of both FMP and Fummofu was kinda lacking.

2) How many manga volumes are out in Japan? I'm aware only 2 are out in the US.

3) Are the novels out in the US? Where can I obtain them. If they're only in Japan still, where can I obtain them? And are they interesting?

4) Does anyone have any really good pictures or backgrounds?

5) Anyone know any new anime series' like this one? What I mean is an action/romance blur, which was one of the reasons I really liked FMP. Lovehina is too romance, and NGE too action. [/i]

No info as of yet... and we have several threads dealing with 'whether
there's going to be a S3' and / or 'I wish for S3' :-D

6, as far as I know, not including the side stories.

Check Jae's main site here. You may want to hit Fan Works as we've had a few interesting ones pop
up there as well.

Yeah, it needs a Fumo! update
But what's there is pretty accurate pre-Fumo and pre-US release...

I'm considering a total site overhaul, at least at the backend, prolly keep the design

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

Try Gunparade March. 12 ep series detailing a bunch of high school
kids fighting invading monsters with giant mecha robots. Oh, they have
time to throw in the requisite love-love between the class spineless
wimp and the new tough-talking-but-soon-to-melt-ice-queen transfer student.

wait, did he give negative criticism to Love Hina? Cuz if he did, *grinds teeth*

Well, I can't really think of something as balanced as FMP off the top of my head... Vision of Escaflowne? But I can't really recommend Escaflowne, it seems barely interesting enough not to be dull. I've never heard of Gunparade March, maybe that's a good choice. A lot of the action series have some romance in it but they are still predominantly action. I like Kenshin TV's mix of action, drama, romance, and comdey. Slayers Next has a bit of romance in it. Rahxephon has crappy romance and crappy plot and I hate myself for actually watching all 26 episodes of it :p.

OH! I've just thought of a good one: Inuyasha. Ya, how can I not think of Inuyasha, even the lead female role is voiced by Kaname's voice actress :). Though I've never seen any of it, I'm guessing Ranma 1/2 is also a good action/romance mix since it's by the same author as Inuyasha. If you like FMP!, you'll like Inuyasha; they both appeal to mass audiences, cross genres, and are enjoyed by both sexes.

Trust me *twitch* Vision of Escaflowne is good ... *eyes Circle*

5. Try "Dual"

I'll be sure to try your suggestions, namely gunparade march and dual. To Circle, I've already seen Ranma and Inuyasha. I think both are well done, but neither as well done as FMP due to the fact that the story seems to drag on and on and on (Inuyasha is like on episode 120) and ultimately there is no large plot connecting the individual episodes besides this generic thing of getting all the shikon shards. I did notice as I was watching though that the voice actress is the same as the one that does Kaname :D Ranma is the same thing, seeing as how the author is the same. And I don't think either anime is as well drawn as FMP.

O yeah, and im not critisizing NGE or LoveHina. I don't think lovehina is as good as FMP, because FMP nearly accomplishes the same thing with an action element. I think the deep plot of NGE and how it made me continuously think about what was happening was really good; and it probably rivals FMP. (I really like End of Eva where everyone dies...for some reason I thought it was a good ending)

Heh, well, at least we all agree FMP! is great :).
