*HE* was sopposed to answer them! Not you!
I'll wait for him to answer these before I throw in my answers...
Though isn't number 4 & 5 abit *TOO* easy?
To add to them.
4.Name the Shipyards they were built in, and date of commissioning and decomissioning.
Extra Bonus: Name their First Captains, and any major campaigns engaged in.
5.Name the Hull number as well.
Oh in addition to HELLFIRE's answer to number 3, Russian pilots also call it "Baaz", the Russian word for "Eagle".

Remember kids, trying to start Armageddon is dangerous. Do not try it at home.
[14:57] Silver Lynxy: Ack. You couldn't see that?
[14:57] Katyusha [Love Through Superior Firepower]: Nope, cant see a thing.
[14:57] Katyusha [Love Through Superior Firepower]: Not using MSN remember?
[14:57] Silver Lynxy: Oh right. You're one of those Trillian people, aren't you?
[14:58] Katyusha [Love Through Superior Firepower]: trillian people? =.= What are we, an ethnicity now?
[15:00] Silver Lynxy: Yes. An evil race.

Well, you and I could go around compiling otaku-type
questions for The Armory....
For #4, FYI, I was considering 'name all ships that bore the name
Enterprise in the BOTH the USN and RN' Have some fun with THAT one....

On a good day, a Tomahawk can fly into the door of a two-car garage at the distance of several hundred miles. And that can ruin your whole day.

The audience applauded, even though it was not clear what Bush meant.
omg... i'm almost sorry i asked . vehicles/ships/aircraft are not my forte. i'll take a shot at it anyway.HELLFIRE wrote:Do you have to be so hard on the n00bs, Katyusha?
HERE'S some simple questions to try:
-----
1) Identify the bomb designated the GBU-3
2) Name the first plane with FBW-controls
3) What microprocessor powers the JDAM?
4) Name the hull numbers of the two ships in the USN that bore the
name 'Enterprise' in the 20th century. Bonus: name the lead-ship-of-
class these two Enterprises belonged to.
5) Only one USN battleship never bore the name of a state. Which ship
was it?
Oh yeah, official signatories to The Armory must recite the Armory Motto
each time they enter The Armory, and report to the Dictator for official
uniform gear...
//insert Jinnai psychotic laugh here

4. CV-6 commissioned on 12 May 1938, decommed on 17 Feb 1947. Shipyard Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Co. First cap was Captain Newton White Jr. I dunno about major campaigns, but my old ww2 mags said it was one of the most active ships back then.Katyusha wrote:*HE* was sopposed to answer them! Not you!

5. BB-5

Pacific War; don't know which ship even comes close to that number!
Enterprise CVN-65 pretty much has been just as active, though I'm
too lazy to check up on that right now *hehe*
Yup, just be careful if Katyusha decides to fire a salvo at ya...Deckard wrote: p.s. was the Katyusha a Russian mobile rocket launcher platform during WW2? or is my memory screwed up from anime?
