Remember kids, trying to start Armageddon is dangerous. Do not try it at home.

And back to the topic...
How I got into FMP! ...
Once I downloaded the opening, ending, and some clips from episode 1 and 2 and found it interesting (specially the quality of animation ).
Then, I tried to download the episodes, but didn't succeed - . -
However, my hopes renewed when I found out that Seki Tomokazu-sama is Sousuke's seiyuu and Miki Shinichiro-sama is Kurz's. Gotta love 'em
I think I got obssessed with FMP since I saw the first episode
Sore ja!!

Last May a friend checked out FMP on VHS from our anime club and put on the first several eps in my dorm group's lounge one night. He's supplied me with divx's since. (Somewhat illegal I know, but I'll shell out for the DVD set soon.) Shortly after that I discovered that a wholly independent group of my friends were hooked on FMP too - yay, more people to watch FMP with!

Yeah, Anime Network. But my parents don't really know anime, so they wouldn't understand that some animes are pretty graphic or for adults...Which is why I never asked for the channel Anime Network. So then I just watch it OnDemand. I think one day I'll ask, and explain some of the stuff...

A co-worker/friend of mine brought the fansubs of the first season to work one night when the first season started coming out. Never heard of it before then, but we started watching it and found it very cool indeed. I found the novels a couple of years later and enjoyed reading what happened next.

One day, I downloaded a HUGE anime music video named "AniMix Project". I noticed on Part 4 of the Project a certain scene with a blue haired beauty messing around at a beach with different people. I also noticed her sexy white bikini. She reminded me of someone very dear, so I thought "Hey, I should check this anime out sometime." So, after further investigation and prying through several sites and, one day while walking through our local PX, noticed in one of the shelves in the store:
MISSION 01
FULL METAL PANIC!
and
MISSION 05
FULL METAL PANIC!
I was like "Wholly crap! Here it is! I could buy it now for 25 bucks, no problem <I was carrying cash on me at the moment>, but what if it's bad? Hmmmmm..."
After about a week of contemplating, I finally made up my mind to buy it. When I arrived back at the store, it was still there. "Now's my chance!" I said to myself and I bought it.
It was one of the best decisions I have made for a long time. And Full Metal Panic! is one of the best anime's I've watched in a [long] while. Now I have the whole series, making a site on it, have all the soundtracks in mp3 (hehehe), dowloaded all the FMP?F episodes in Japanese [with English subtitles of course], bought the Film Book, and I'm currently waiting in anticipation for FMP! The Second Raid and FMP! Continuing On My Own and for a possible release of FMP? FUMOFFU in a box set like FMP!.
So yeah.
It's become my NEW obsession, slowly starting to creep to the number one spot which N.I. currently holds.
