Question about FMP trading cards

Not really interested in playing with cards but I want them only for Shikidouji's illustrations.

I'm now considering ordering FMP Cardmission Starter Pack (with 48 cards in it) & Booster Pack (9 cards) first. But my question is: are they worth buying? Are illustrations on the cards from Colorful Wind book?

A small percent of the cards are CW illustrations, or parts thereof.
There are currently 300+ cards total, and the illustrations that show up on them are from everything Shiki Douji's work has been in.

That's a few pics done just for the cards, magazine article art, the stuff done for promotionals, and the illustrations that go within the stories. So, there are some in common with CW, but CW is far far from a complete gallery of work.

Some of the card illustrations are not done by SD, you might wanna know.
Also, sometimes a larger illustration is featured in parts, across mutiple cards. (not like puzzle card sets, just cropped to show only a part of the larger illustration. they can't be assembled).

I think (sadly) getting the cards is the best way to get a large number of the illustrations (all in full color too), but like all CCGs they suck to collect.
You'll end up with a load of extra commons even from just buying one booster pack, however the 2 last installments were much easier to complete with fewer extras.
(the early booster sets were really bad about that)

i haven't really seen any of the cards, so i can't say anything. however, i remember jae saying that some pics in her gallery were cropped out from the cards...........

Yeah...the gallery of little tiny illustrations are all card scans.

I've seen a few over here, except they're a dozen or so times more expensive than the regular CCGs.

Except grahf and I live in a nation where $8 = 419.36 as of the last exchange rate. That, plus the overcharging Taxi-drivers, unreliable mass transport, crap roads, lousy harbours, and off-the-roof taxes on imports can cause prices to sky-rocket.
