girl that souske saved in first episode

Who was that girl in the first episode that sagara saved from the helicopter? I'm assuming she's a wispered but what happened to her afterwards?

she's a whispered. nothing much is known about her, xept for what you see in ep 1. nothing more is told in the anime i believe. u can assume mithril took her into custody to observe any lingering after-effects of her 'treatment' in the USSR, but i don't think anything about her fate is ever explicitdly stated. i believe she's just a device to set the stage

she doesn't make an appearance in the manga, not that i'm aware of. dunno bout the novels. she's used as reference in at least one fanfic tho, particularly in 'le jeu sinistre' i believe she even gets some dialogue

Yeah, we never see her again.
Her official name is something like 'unnamed girl' when she's referenced in the FMP info guide books, and there's really no info about her.

I think she was there just to show Mithril's purpose of fighting for the whispered, and like darkbane said, set up the stage for the series.

yup... the 'unknown whispered girl'.... kinda cute though.

although it WOULD be interesting if she suddenly showed up in school, giving sousuke the hugs and kisses for saving her.

She looked older though, I'd estimate 19 I guess. Was the deal with the blood ever explained? You know, how she was biting herself and the driver?

The implication seemed to be that the treatments she had recieved at the hands of her captors messed up her mental balance. It seemed to be something to bring awareness to the audience of the possible dangers of being Whipstered. (ie, hey, that could happen to Kaname, or Tessa!)

At least, Sousuke seemed to have some awareness of it.

Thanks for the warm welcome Taurec and thanks for the info. This has been bothering me for a while, but I didn't dare wander onto these forums until I finished watching the show. I just thought there was something more to her, considering how she had that dramatic escape and all. And she did ask for sousuke's name so I thought we were gonna see her again. Nope, but that's okay

Well I don't know, but do you guys remember the episode when Kaname and Kurz are together in the woods and she has her first visions as whispered. At that time she saw a girl hanging from a tree. (I think it was the episode with the title "Still Alive")
I hate to say this, but I think she saw the girl from episode one and it means that she killed herself.
