"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

This is really good. I even liked the opening song enough that I purchased the OST (hehe, I used an acronym).

Third disc comes out on 4/6. I'm pretty excited.

The thing that strikes me the most is the background. I'm starting to notice the overal effect of the animation. For the most part, the background seems heads above other anime I've seen (partly related to age I'm sure) and the cloud scenes are great. I like how they add technical data in the disc leafs.

Having seen the series I'll just wait for the box set.

What I liked about it:
The world of it. The romance and freedom of flight is really well displayed. The animation, the action sequences. Like I said, watching this series makes me wanna quit school and join the air force even to just be a ground crew :).

I didn't like the story so much though. The first part of it really sets it up well to be a great story but some later episodes seemed slow and sometimes unconvincing. But the ending is fitting.

Overall I liked it.

Teletha:

From my opinion yes, however I don't have a lot of Anime experience to judge from. But like Circle said, there is a lot to be said for the Freedom experienced within the show itself.

The other piece I enjoy is that like in some of the Final Fantasy Games, there is a definate combination between low and high - tech. Look at where they live, the small wooden garage, with a loft above, or the ruins, or the castles.

The other piece is the coloration used. It's not the bright fun cartoonish coloration, but the somber tones. Although I say somber, I don't think it's in any way depressing. Perhaps it's the opening theme song that lightens the mood more than anything. (of course I'm addicted to bagpipe music, so the sample they used for the song helps it in my opinion).

I'd recommend trying it Teletha. I really like it. And if I could figure out a way to use an old laptop to create a "moving picture" frame, and just loop the clean opening on it, I'd be ecstatic.

AniGIF on an ActiveDesktop?

I've a few 'moving scenes' I'd LOVE to do this with, just haven't figured
it all out yet

V5 coming out in two days... and so far I've not been disappointed
in purchasing this series. Sylvania specs, Urbanus specs, Claus & Lavi's
vanship's specs, Tatiana's vanship's specs.... whatever will they put in
for the three remaining DVD inserts?

Only thing driving me nuts is alittle price comparison I did while at ComicCon.
Usually $45CDN in the shops up here, got both V3 and V4 for $22USD.
Factor in an add'n $3 or $4USD normal shop price in the States and
convert to CDN.... AAAAARGH!!!
