The school is plagued by a lunch thief! Kaname and the others take it upon themselves to search for the cook. Meanwhile a transvestite synchronized swimming instructor joins the teaching staff. Mistaking synchonized swimming as a form of military training, Sosuke signs up

I've been reading the manga, and the best part is that it's not a retread of the anime, or vice versa. My favorite example of this is in volume 2, where you get to see (or hear) why they're called Whispered. (Hmm, now that I'm leaving grad school, maybe I can work that into my abandoned story... um, did I say something?) Admittedly, it would be hard to portray that in the anime--the medium can have problems showing inner thoughts, esp. of that nature. Nice having the extra details.

What I miss in the American release is the covers...the Japanese editions have a pin-up on the reverse side of the girls. (And my one of Kyouko is signed by Monica Rial :-D) Sorry, just had to gloat a bit, I guess. And I'm a girl, so I don't like them that way.

Well, checking out ADV-manga's catalog pages, I see why so many seemed to think the FMP manga ran for only 5 volumes.

On their fmp page is the quote: This action-packed five-volume series was originally released in Japan in 2000.
They also show covers for the 5 (vol 5 due 6/22).

I emailed ADV today asking if they will be releasing the rest, of if they only have up til 5 liscened (possible, but if so probably have options for following and future volumes). I'll post if/when I get a reply.

BTW Kurtz is the undie model in volume 7.

the manga I have (first 2 vols in English) follows the anime first season. Still very enjoyable and recommended as a must have.
