and also, how does gauron do it? he does get damaged every time, but so little. after the 1st fight with arbalest, he gets a scar. after the time on de danaan, his vocal chords are gone and replaced with machinery. BUT, here's the one that bothers me: in the anime, kashim shoots him point blank, in the head, and we can see the entrance wound and the blood from the exit wound. how can he survive that??? ok that's my question

In the anime G explained that he had a metal plate in his head, that's why the bullet didn't do any damage to him that time.Dannan wrote:and also, how does gauron do it? he does get damaged every time, but so little. after the 1st fight with arbalest, he gets a scar. after the time on de danaan, his vocal chords are gone and replaced with machinery. added- As for surviving the other times, most seem fairly plausible when you think about it. Sousuke thinks he finally won, but doesn't have any time to hang around and check for bits of oblierated evil thug so other than a blast there's no real evidence G is dead.
Maybe G just survives each blast, but in too bad a shape to continue the fight so he takes off while everyone else is blinded by the post-blast glare.
I don't know about the last in the anime though- if its in the translations, i haven't read it yet.
The audience applauded, even though it was not clear what Bush meant.

Of course that's not the end. You can't leave it hanging like that; the main characters' conditions are still uncertain. People will go berserk and there will be an overflow of angsty fanfiction!

I just got it off their IRC and put it in my webspace here for you folks .
Thanks for the fast news, they haven't even updated the website to announce Ch5b is released.
I haven't read it yet but I read the afterwards at the bottom and the translator said she'll keep translating more FMP stuff.

I've just read it; it's weird. It says it's the end at some points but the translator says she'll go on translating and Sousuke will have to go through more hell. Does this mean it's the end of the novel but there's more stuff, or it's not the end of the novel?
It better not be the end of the novel.
Edit--spoiler alert:
Chidori is such a @#$%^. I had a very good assumption that she'd act like this sooner or later.
It's cool when Sousuke says his status as a student rather than a soldier when he jumps into the battle.
