Now that the episodes are all cleared up, is this thread gonna b locked?
N ep 16 should hv been the last ep. Wat were the producers thinking...
I know there's already a thread on this topic, so I'll stop here...
I'll keep this thread open for now... unless Madam Dictator objects.
Or till someone else (re)visits this topic again in the future.
ok, this may well be off topic, but since GONZO didn't make fumo, how did kyoto get that clip of them during the sub invasion? did they have to negotiate a deal or did they have those crazy japanese skillz drawers recreate the scene? thanks if anyone can answer. it's been bothering me for a while now. <looks around with periscope>

What clip of the sub invasion? And to answer the question, I wouldn't know.

They have flashbacks in Fumoffu? 'Cause Kyoto's the people who made that and Gonzo made the first season, right? And your question is how did one get clips off the other?

thanks for answering
back to my question: in ep 11, when sousuke and kaname meet mardukas (after sousuke slams him on ground), mardukas be like don't u remember me? and kaname's like *flashback* mardukas salutes. I think there might have been more flashbacks, but that's the one I found so far. I will relook later.
in the 1st season, when all of the crew welcome kaname onboard, they salute her. I'm sorry for being so bothersome, but I am adamant that it occurred. in fact, I think the clip is also a part of the intro song part
Edit: That clip from Fumoffu that you described (Mardukas saluting) looks like Kyoto drew it based on what happened at the saluting scene in the first season; it doesn't look to me like a copy of a clip from the first season but it's similar.
So I'm not sure if there are actually any shots or clips taken from the first season for the third.

I haven't looked at the clips in question. Maybe, sometime much later, I'll get a chance.
But I wouldn't sweat it over how Kyoto may have gotten a clip of Gonzo's work- most of the people who worked on Fumo were the same ones who worked on the first series. All of FMP is copyright Gatou, with various lisences also being held by the other various companies that have published or done FMP stuff- I'm sure it would not have been difficult for them to arrange for use of a first season clip in Fumo. Gonzo doesn't hold exclusive rights over it....

Yep- his name is on everything, and he seems to have managed to retain more control than most authors or mangaka do. He's on the production credits for both anime series.
Smart guy.
