"Kalinin 160 5'2 (<- Not a typo! He's also 90kg, and the translator in ADV's version adds the comment that he should look a lot heavier. Go figure, he doesn't"

NO WAY!!!!! i thought he's at least 184.... he certainly seems to be build rather bulky too... not in useless weight, though. crazy japanese don't know jack about russians...

Sorry, you're right. I was reading the '.' as a foot mark and not as a decimal.

@HF. i have that pic. exactly what i was thinking - Kalinin being the tallest in the group. eh well, anime never really follows heights of chars throughout the series..

According to the FMP character height comparison
chart, I thought Kalinin was 6'3 or so.
My first thought when I saw that he was 5'2 was
"Omg!"

My point is--isn't it a requirement that one has to
be a certain height or so (it probably varies) to
participate in some military services? For instance,
Kalinin being in Spetznaz (sp?) and Mithril. I also
heard from Belisarius that Mao should be at least
5'7 to have been able to be in whatever part of the
Marine Corps she was in. (Forgive me for my
ignorance...)

Her father was in the Airforce, so the guys said okay.
Besides, who'd want to mess with Mao?

I don't think the fact that her father was
in the Air Force makes a difference...
Besides, what about Kalinin and others?

It could be just a flaw in FMP. If so, I'll put
it in my "Flaws" thread--but not until this is
confirmed...

Me was wondering why it was possible that MM, Kalinin, and others could be in the military if they were that short, not why they were that short.

kalinin was part of kgb b4, and kgb members are all varying... don't know bout mm... Sousuke cause he got mad skillz fytin guerilla stale! so kalinin recruited his punk butt(said with affection)
