It just wouldn't be Sailor Moon if it didn't end on a happy note, now would it? :-D

...I'm still waiting for the subs of that Kirari concert myself...

I'm up to ep12. Just like the anime, Minako and Rei are the hottest 2 . But they all look prettier when not transformed. I can't remember how the girls got together in the first season of the anime anymore. Except for Makoto's intro, I still remember her's. Maybe I'll re-watch the first episodes of the anime again...

Gonna watch more of it now instead of studying for my midterms. Episode 12, here I come! :-D

In chronological order...

Ami / Mercury: joins Juban school and gets a rep as a brain-case
Rei / Mars: something wierd happening near a temple and Usagi & Ami go
to investigate
Makoto / Jupiter: Usagi meets her on the way to school the first day she transfers
Minako / Venus: saves the four when they fall into Kunsite's trap at the docks

Weeeeeeee, finally finished watching the series. I'm a sucker for these, "I choose love over saving the world" themes. It was used in Scrapped Princess and Slayers Next also, both are totally awesome.

So sad when Minako disappeared/died. How did she die? Was it during the operation? It seemed to me that she knew her end was that day and she faded away while taking one last ride in the ferris wheel. Which is a very beautiful scene. :(

I enjoyed the Mio "blow to s**t" scene very much also.

So Sailor Moon lives because of her friend's memory and the Mystical Silver Crystal? And Mamoru's life is released from that painting?

I was so hoping to see the Shitennou (try to) live a normal human life. I wanted to see more Nephrite/Ami-chan. ^.^ But I'm sure they'll be back for any future live action projects.

The hottest girl while not transformed: Minako :perv:
The hottest girl while transformed: Dark Sailor Mercury :perv:
Cutest girl has to be Ami (transformed or not).
Girl with most angst: Rei
Biggest bi*ch: Mio (though Rei gets in a fight with everyone and I love that)
Queen Beryl is pretty cool too in a bitter and evil way. 8)

One last thing, all the girls seem to have trouble walking in high heels. :-P

Yea, I can't imagine what's it like to try to run on heels. I feel sorry for women. ;)

Moonlight Real Girl PGSM Memorial CD Box... 58 tracks of what looks like
the BG music from the series. Mio's Theme was one I DEFINATELY
could've done without

Some add'n best / worst of:
- closest to their anime version: Mars
- best parent: tossup between Rei's father & Uasgi's mother
- best childhood portrayal:
- chars I could've done without: tossup between Mio & kodomo Luna -- whatever
happened to Keiko Han /CG Luna anyways?
- best Luna moment: 'there goes my first kiss' :-D

I felt that Usagi is pretty close to her anime version also. Best childhood portrayal... I dunno either. Did they show childhood flashbacks in the anime?

I really liked some of the differences between the anime and the live action, except kodomo Luna, she's a poor excuse to somehow put a Chibi-Usa type character in the story. I don't think I would've liked a real life Chibi-Usa either. :-P

But stuff like the large amount of air-time devoted to developing Makoto's relationship with Motoki is great. Makoto didn't get much loving in the anime so karma works out for her. On the other hand, Rei doesn't have her funny grandfather or Yuuichiro in her live action version, I wanted to see that but I guess it's not her turn this time. ;)

As for Minako, her dream in the anime is to be a idol so she starts off as the Ichiban Idoru in the live action. But she's terminally ill!! Damn you Monkey Paw!!

The Shitennou are great characters also in the live action, dunno if they are this dynamic in the anime since I've pretty much forgotten everything about them in the anime.

Yep, gota love the staff of this show for showing me what it's like in a slightly alternate Sailor Moon world. :-D

Makoto and Rei got flashbacks to their childhoods... I forget about the rest.

Loser-with-a-capital-L Motoki didn't do much for me... I tended to ignore
him whenever he had any screentime. :-P

Zoicyte IMO was the most likeable Shittenou... that piano of his! :-D
Kunsite had the best presence... maybe it was the just way he was screaming
that one flashback. I swear his face looked like death come to life!
I'm rather surprised that when Neflyte lost his powers and became
human he didn't hook up with Naru

....and speaking of which:
- most short-changed char : Naru (again!) or Hina (Mamoru's gf)

A new torrent called Kirai Super Live is out and it's suppose to be a subbed Sailor Moon live action special.

There appears to be only 1 person super-seeding and I'm going to bed now so I'll have to wait until the next day to check it out.

Watched it, and basically it's the Kirari concert discussed a page or
two back in the thread -- all the main chars of PGSM got together for
a mom, pop and tot live concert. YAY!! I can FINALLY understand what's
being said!! Being 400mb, don't expect the video quality to be anything
to shout about, but it's watchable for the most part.

Okay, additional priceless moment: Venus telling Zoicite he's cute before she
blows him away with the Venus Love Me Chain attack! :-D

And sorry to insert these two dirty thoughts in: 1)I get a closer
look at those skirts that are part of the fuku costume and I have to wonder
what the material is. Crepe? Or fabric?
and 2) now
that PGSM is over, do the cast get to keep their sailor costumes? Ya have
to wonder about them hooking up with a guy who's a TOTAL Moon fan,
and asks 'will you model your costume for me for our first date?'
:perv::perv:

I just watched it, despite low video quality and quickie translation job (even I caught a few sentences that was wrong or left out), this is a good fix for the need of more Sailor Moon.

The performances are good (I skipped Luna's though :p). I like their costumes (non-transformed ones). :perv:

Yea, I thought these scenes were funny too, plus what Venus said to Zoicite.
Zoicite with the toy piano :-D
Nephrite made that little girl cry. Haha

A date with with any of the actresses would be a dream but I wouldn't push my luck on the first date about the costumes. :-P

Seeing the audience, once again, I am reminded that deep down inside, I'm probably a 7 year old Japanese girl.

More PGSM music collections wandered into my sights:
- Aino Minako - I'll Be Here (Original Album) -- 3rd album? Where's #1 and #2?!

as usual, you know what not to do

Well, I just finished watching the special. Seeing it reminded me just how painful watching crappy fight scenes is. But a nice wrap-up of the series, and all of the girls looked qute.

We got a Naru cameo as well. I was hoping for a Hina cameo.

But... I thought Mio was dead :?:
