Just a thought, but if we're going for ominous-sounding names, what are the chances that it's the "Belial"? (Not that I know what a Codarl is, though.)

And I never did figure out how his coat magically rises up and deflects throwing knives. Don't tell me that's a Whispered ability too... *imagines the potential of a Kaname & Tessa versus Leonard fight... animated* :-D
Yeah, Belial is probably the correct romanization (although I'm sure ADV will screw it up anyway).

I dunno - I think Sousuke's lack of reaction is that, well, the talk of the brother isn't too pertinent to the matter at hand: survival.

*shrugs* I dunno.... and I'm pretty sure that Tessa had no feelings for Leonard.

Now, HIM, on the other hand....... better not go there. Weltall will be in uproar over how such a man as he stole a certain virginal heroine's first kiss, and his dark plans....

That bastard...

Did I really make it that obvious? I don't remember if I talked about it or not.

Anyway, wanna make me hate a character in a story? Have him get just a little too fresh with my favorite hero's girl.

Either way, the homewrecking, incestual, murdering dirtbag has gotta go.

...well, at least he's doing a good job of being a villain...being hated so much. :-D He still looks cool though. :) Reminds me of Sephiroth, for some reason ^^;

Heh.

Anyhow, I can just imagine - Sousuke & Arbalest vs Leonard & Belial.

Come to think of it, it might not be Leonard at all. It could be Renardo, Renard, Leonardo - all of which are European names and fit.

And Testaross is a misnomer - it means "Red Head" but look at Tessa and Leonard with their gray hair...

I just didn't remember if I had a rant about how much I hated the kiss. Because Goose pretty much nailed all of my animosity for him with that right there.

Oh, yeah, sure, there's the killing and slaughtering of innocents and all that jazz... but the KISS, man! :x

:-P

Maybe Sousuke will finish him off with an Omnislash. 8)

They probably will. Part of me hopes that's one of the changes they make, but another part feels that it's really important to the development of the story.

But then again, there's a lot of stuff I would have thought to be important to the overall story but was cut out of the first season.

In any case, if we can turn enough people onto our cause, we might be able to start up the Hate Leonard Fanclub!

the KISS of doom is important to story... I doubt they'd edit that even tho the nekkidness from the scene may be altered a lil.
all I can say is they better do the Haircut scene of RABURABU or not I will letter-bomb the Kyoto Ani offices :D

and about the Hate Lenard Club -- why wait? *signs up*

I'm actually fairly ambivialent towards Leonard - it's been hard for me to get really worked up about anime villians, to get to the point where as soon as I see them I say, "They must die."

DJ Croft and Tom Draven, OTOH...

But still, though I don't feel any flames of anger nor a burning aura of righteous fury, it doesn't mean I can't dislike Leonard.

Consider me in.

Leonard must die. Painfully. Preferbally by the force of Sousuke's will, manipulating Arbalest's Lambda Driver.

Well, that scene at the end of DVMC confused me for sure. The one where Leonard and Kalinin meet in the bar. Apparently they are not on "shoot on sight" terms... I do wonder in Leonard is not in fact playing his own game within Almagam, but I do doubt that he's on the "good" side. The thing I want to know most I guess, is why Leonard went over to Almagam. Until we know that, we can't understand his motivation. It seems he does have something of a superiority complex, and that "normal" humans simply aren't a match for him, or his intellect. For that matter, do we really have a handle
on what Almagam's goals are? We know they use terrorists, and commit terrorist acts, have black technology and supply it to choice allies/pawns/dupes. Are they after direct world conquest, or do they want to be the puppetmaster behind the scenes? So far, I _think_ Leonard is the only Whispered in their upper ranks.
