What was with one of the twins walking up to Kaname? Kind of suspicious getting so close, and she was walking unusually fast compared to the other people walking at their leisure. I'm sure she didn't need to get that close to see the features of her target, if she could get her phone number, I'm sure she's able enough to get pictures of her without her knowing, like that nerd in the second episode. I never knew someone can take pictures of you without you completely knowing. She could have gotten Chidori's phone number from a phone book, if they have those, but I'm sure Sagara had already advised her of taking it off. Though of course, that meeting was what brought in Chidori's fear of something she's not sure of.

In other words, something made that assasin do something irrational, in spite of her extreme ruthlessnes and proffesional approach to her, well, proffession...

Well, normally if someone walked that close to you, you would probably be annoyed than scared. Though she is the one who fought Mao, and when Mao looked into her eyes and came to conclusion that this was probably despair she was feeling. I'm guessing she normally doesn't feel that when fighting. They did make it creepy with the slow motion thing going though. Well, terrorizing her prey is good, but when she walked up to her, beforehand she must have known that her victim was "weak" enough to be scared by giving her a look, though if it was someone else like Sousuke she tried to do it on, he would probably pull out his Glock because his instincts detect murderous intent. I think she would have thought that killing her would be so easy that she didn't need to mess with Kaname's mind. The phone call was probably to confirm Kaname's location. But if she was aiming for terrorizing the whole time, then that would explain a lot also.

How would they know that Kaname was one of those responsible of their master's near death? I don't know how Gauron would know either, unless they received intelligence of Kaname being the one controlling the ship. But even Gates, who seems pretty high up to be allowed to do all those things, thought Gauron was dead, though Leonard received intelligence that he wasn't. Both thought differently at about the same time.

Gauron put 2 and 2 together, a figured out what happened. Als,o they probably blame anyone that had anything to do withh the eincedent. So whether or not Kaname was directly or indirectly responsible, it doesn't matter. Just Gauron having a grudge against Kaname is enough.

But don't forget that there is a connection between Gauron, the twins and Tessa's bro.

Also, It may not have been the twins calling Kaname. It could have been Tessa's Bro, or even wraith. Although the latter is unlikely, it is possible.

Gauron's proved he's gone past the point of logic regarding Sousuke in the first episode. It's not a stretch that he's done the same regarding Kaname. Who knows if "logic" is one of the things he's left with after becoming [ecs]ground meat.[/ecs] If it's not, the twins are following his orders.

It's unclear if the assasin came close to Kaname in order to scare her.

Personally, I believe it's like the cat, playing with the mouse, before going for the kill...doing damage to the mouse isn't important, and it's not in order to set up the mouse for the final blow...the mouse is completely at the cats mercy, so the cat takes it's time to play around, see what happens...

But, once in a while a cat will end up playing with a small rat rather than a mouse, and if it plays with that, it may get bitten, fall ill and die, because it didn't just finish the rat off - If you ask me, that's what we're in for.[/img]

Remember, Gauron wanted to do damage to Amalgam before he died, [ecs]theft of the Venom, rampage in Hong Kong, trying to kill Kaname, revealing the Pacific Christmas.[/ecs] Obviously Leonard wouldn't want Kaname killed, so that's out of the question. It wasn't an order from Amalgam. Well, with all things considered, like the atmosphere of the latter half of the episode, I'm thinking it was the assasin who called. That is the first conclusion anybody should get to. There are more indicators in the episode pointing to the assasin because of the encounter. The creators of the episode would be wrong in putting in Leonard or Wraith as the caller because most people should think it was the assasin because, one, they didn't show Leonard in the whole episode. Two, I don't think Wraith calls Kaname every once a week to check up on her. And three, they actually showed the assasin in the episode, and she was the one who initiated the mood Kaname was in for the rest of the episode. The fearful/suspenseful mood was still present when the caller made its call. Also, the caller didn't leave it's caller id. Wraith and the assasin wouldn't say anything, but Leonard might say something to her. Of course, there is no solid proof that the assasin did call, and that it is still open to possibilities...

man, i felt so bad for kaname this episode, that feeling of being all alone without her souske musta sucked

and the things wraith said to souske were just bad!!!!! i personally think if wraith hadn't said those things souske mighta still been there, but wraith's words made souske feel not important so he left

man, i thought wraith and tessa's bro (leonard) was the same guy, glad that they're not, although wraith doesn't sound like a nice guy anyway...

also, i didn't realize wraith went back that far, when they showed the clip from fmp1 i was really surprised....

Man... we went from the most touching episode to the most tragic. It's bad enough to be abandoned, but this was at the worst possible time. Poor Kaname and poor Sousuke.
