I agree, Taurec. And anyways, sure at the end there will be a finally united Sousuke and Kaname, but what about the AS? What about those who want to see AS action forever? Who else but Gatoh himself can write about his own creations? AS, Mithril, Amalgam, TDD-1, mercenaries, Lambda Driver, Black Technology, Whispereds, etc, where will they be when the story ends? Full Metal Panic! just can not end, I will never admit its end...Maybe Gatoh can still write about Full Metal Panic! even with Kaname and Sousuke together...I hope...

i personally think that if he did this it would be awesome and a great way to start something new (maybe?) i don't care as long as Gatoh gives us some S&K goodness...(though if it could last forever that'd be nice too )

It's true the series won't be the same if those two actually admit their feelings but I just want some romantic fluff! Still, regardless of how the series continued I'd still watch, or read.

I think it would have been really interesting if they had admitted their feelings for each other just before Kaname got taken away, but would be quite difficult to work around if it happened during a spell of normal everyday school life. If he doesn't put these characters together we're going to have to storm his house till we get an ending But at least there's fan fiction I just really, really hope we get the final ending animated!
