OH!@
YOUR!!@
GOD!!!!@
Such a ****ing great episode! They had the novels pinned to a T. Gauron telling Sousuke that Kaname's dead, Tessa pwning Mardukas by stating how much Sousuke has saved Mithril's ass, and even something out of the novels, Gates's unmistakeable, and always funny, voiceovers.
If it were to end next episode, sure it would leave some things wide open, but I think I've gotten everything I want out of ODBD.
P.S. did Gauron look less... gruesome then the novels described him?

Interesting ep, I enjoyed angrySousuke screaming "Gauroooooon!!!!"
One mor ep left. That makes me sad.
But I wondering how they could bring the AS fighting, Sousukes comeback aso. in one episode...
I guess I've seen something odd in the new prview....
Theres one scene, where you see Sousuke, his head turned down and his face is reflecting in a broken glass. In one scene, there's no scar.... in the other (closeup) you can see another scar, still fresh, adorning his left cheek.
Maybe he's got that one by falling out of the window... but what if Sousuke sliced himself? To close a matter (Kaname, to who he thinks she's dead). This would explain his x-shaped scar... (seriously you can never ever get 2 symmetrical scars on the same position of your face) maybe he cut himself again, because of 2 other deaths/losses... people he liked... his parents!!!! Maybe thats his style to get over the people he once liked and lost.
Just my theory, but I think I'm thinkling too much. LOL.

Oh man, this ep was so great it gave me goosebumps! Was it just me, or did Sousuke start immensely sweating in the beginning because he made the connection of the word "Kowloon" signifying "Gauron"? They sound very similar. I just thought maybe that was the case because I watched one of the last eps of the original FMP series last night and listened to the way Sousuke pronounced "Gauron" while desperately searching for him on the submarine. It sounded like "Gow-loon." Hey, that's just my theory I don't remember what the novel may have said in reference to the name Kowloon. I LOVED seeing Gauron again but yeah, he looked significantly less scary than described from the novel. He's was supposed to look like more of a monster, dammit! LOL I loved every aspect of their conversation and all of Sousuke's angry faces! I think I watched the ending 7 times . Hey, can you blame me? The scene where Sousuke crashed through the window and landed on the car before hitting the street was awsome too. I couldn't help staring at his face while he laid on the ground. Poor guy didn't even have enough time to take in all the heartbreaking information he received. That cut you see in the previews from the next ep was probably unintentional. I don't see Sousuke as the type of guy to cut himself, but their might be some meaning behind it. His eyes looked soooo hollow. Good ol' pat on the back for the animators for conveying emotions. I can't wait for this last episode .

Kowloon I THINK is chinese for Nine Dragons = Gaulun.... nice
sheeeyt!! When that beeping started after Sousuke practically emptied
his clip into him, I'm like 'just HOW invulnerable is the SOB!!'
He IS finally dead, right? RIGHT?!
...sidenote, anyone know if they got Gaulun's original seiyuu back
for a reprise?
Ahh, Tessa pulls a surprise again just how resiliant her personality is
You go girl!! Now if only she could direct that towards the object of her affection
once in awhile...
So who's the mysertious guest in Hunter's office?
Regards

Yeah, it did follow the novel very well. AS action! Elimination Squad! Were the elimination squad Codarls or Codarl-Ms in the novel? Their weapons look so cool, guess we'll see them in action soon enough. Yu Fan knows some awesome moves, displayed it all through the series. Anyone notice the new opening? Leonard actually turns his face around so that you can see it.

Based on Brandi's translations, Urzu team referred to them as "Venom", and also referred to the rogue one as "Venom". The squad itself referred to the rogue as "class M", so I guess they themselves are in Codarl-M's? (While we're at it, I don't know the difference, maybe you could elaborate? Would a simple Codarl be like the one Gauron first used, the one that overheated? Or was that something else entirely?)KashimArbalestAS wrote:Yeah, it did follow the novel very well. AS action! Scroll near the bottom. Some members have already elaborated on it. Is it the fansubbers fault for them to keep calling the Codarls, Venoms? They obviously have the ponytail and aren't red, big giveaways.

Ahh, so nice to be able to understand what's going on with subs.
YAY!Kaname's dead... Gaulun killed her
YAY!Tessa laid the smackdown on Richard... and he sees her gaining strength
YAY!Tessa admitted her feelings before Kaname did AGAIN!!
YAY!Gaulun's still top evil b*stard of all time!! ... he ISN'T dead, right? RIGHT?!
Going to crosscheck with other groups about how they translated one
particular line by Gaulun about Yu Fan & Yu Lan's TRUE relationship, but...
