And if the cover is any indication, it looks like Kaname and Leonard will be in it. Good. Maybe that asshat will finally eat some lead.

Small bit of of spoiler info:

[ecs]Kaname is only in the very last pages of the book, and Leonard is not in the book at all (if I recollect correctly). Sousuke is wearing bulletproof clothing, but Kurama shoots him with a rifle, which can penetrate bulletproof clothing. and Kaname is actually wearing a camisole and shorts

Unfortunately, it looks like we'll have to wait a while before Leonard eats some lead...if he ever does at all. I'm beginning to suspect that he may end up "redeemed" in the end somehow.

Every other villain ended up dead. Even those kids from A21 and they kinda turned out to not be so evil.

Yeah, but the difference with Leonard is that he's the brother of a main character. Also, I can't imagine Kaname letting Sousuke kill him without protesting it. Although I could imagine Tessa killing him...wouldn't that rock? I'd like her a whole lot more then.

cause Leonard is a brengsek and he can makan tai anjing cause he took kanam's kiss that was for sousuke. if i hade my way i would thake Arbalest and us that Lamda driver punch on him whil he isnt in his AS. the punch that sousuke did on the last episode of TSR to Gates

Yeah, but he still died. I think that's the key here. He can have himself a nice dramatic death scene in his sister's arms while Sousuke and Kaname are off making out somewhere, not even giving a flying flip that he's dying.

So? Brothers can die too. There's no "Sibling Immortality Clause".

Besides, Kaname may not encourage Sousuke to kill him, but hey, sh!t happens. Two mechs are fighting. Leonard loses. His mech blows up and his body gets riddled with shrapnel. Couldn't be helped. ::shrugs::

Or for a REAL dramatic finish, I could see Kaname ruining her getting her hands dirty by killing Leonard to save Sousuke. Then there's the big drama about her losing the "innocence" that Sousuke had tried so hard to protect. And we could really rub it in by having Sousuke beat the crap out of him first, and show mercy by not killing him, thus proving he's not a cold-blooded killer.

Ah, the possibilities are endless.

Last option... I think not. As much as we'd all like to see that happen (

), it just feels wrong, not to mention a little bleak. And in response to another post somewhere else, I'd like to think that Sousuke and Kaname will, eventually, return to Jindai - but I'm a hopeless optimist when it comes to fiction, so don't mind me.

Anyway, the fact that Leonard is
1.) a boss character
2.) related to a major character on the good side
suggests that he is entitled to a long, drawn-out death scene complete with weeping, regrets, and throes as long as it takes him to complete his final speech. Even so, I vote for finishing him off with Kaname and Sousuke's LOVE LOVE Lambda Finger. Or perhaps Tessa ramming his Belial with the TDD-2.

And yeah, sj4iy, I'm torn over the two choices for "Kill Leonard". It's either
1.) Sousuke: Defending Kaname's honour, and making up for his previous loss
or
2.) Tessa: Ending the family feud once and for all, and avenging the deaths of Mithril's fallen.

...on second thought, maybe Gatou'll go for the unpredictable route and have Mardukas fire Leonard out a torpedo tube.
