I just finished watching TSR series and some things didn't make sense to me.
Here is the list:
In ep. 11, why is it that hooker girl looked so much like Kaname? Did they do that on purpose because Kaname didn't get much stage time or what?
Btw, I almost died when I saw the scene which she grabbed Sousuke's b...
In the episode 9 (Her problem)
How come Leonard said that he loved Kaname when they only met for the first time? Is it because he saw Kaname's sexy figure in the rain?
If memory serves, there was some talk about the directors not wanting to have introspection by letting us listen to character thoughts. So when Sousuke should have been angsting on his own in the novels, they placed that hooker there instead so he wouldn't have to talk to himself. Or something like that.
As for Leonard... *resists temptation to stab him repeatedly* We don't know too much about his motivations. Sorry, memory hazy, don't know if they mention anything else in the novels.

Well, I can speculate to that one. He's had her under surveillance for quite a while I imagine. He's had a chance to fall in love with the idea of her, namely she is Whispered, female, not his sister and mentally balanced. AKA, male hormones.

Well said. Although if Amalgam's surveillance is anywhere near modern standards, the shots of Kaname pulling off a suplex on Sousuke should have been enough to put him off.
Leonard doesn't seem like the type that acts on hormones, way too intelligent (way too devious)

Part of his "love" for Kaname might be because Leonard seems like an idealist, and Kaname is basically seen as an idol. She is vivacious, beautiful, and most importantly to Leonard, quite intelligent and a whispered. Whispered people are naturally drawn to one another, as Tessa explained before. They have a natural attraction and resonance with one another. Leonard is probably drawn by the idea of her, and by his whispered connection to her.
And Kaname's strong personailty appears to intrigue him and give respect to her, because only someone with a strong spirit could probably survive being a whispered. Thus Leonard is so easily bored by the average intelligence and personalities of people who aren't whispered geniuses like himself, and most likely wants someone strong like him to keep him engaged and interested.
That's just my interpretation of Leonard, but who the heck really knows for sure? (I appologize for the badly written post but I'm dead tired. )

I've always just seen it as him finding her... interesting, if you will. But I've always held the misconception that he regards himself as something superior.
Anyway, like I've mentioned before, I think future encounters between the two are influenced by the idea that "what Leonard wants, Leonard gets", although I have no other backing for that besides my own interpretation of the character. Considering how Kaname plays really hard-to-get, it would possibly make him want her even more...
...but that doesn't explain their first meeting at all.

This is the same take I have for Tessa crushing on Sousuke even though she'd never spent much time with him- overseeing his missions, accessing his files and reports, hearing about him from Melissa, ect. He was someone she was able to construct an idea of from a distance. However, dealing with the real thing is entirely different

Well, Leonard did say that up until COMO they had just been observing her. So I think he's been watching her for some time. He's just really attracted to the fire of her personality. She's "elusive like water" and she has a "vugarity that belies her purity" and all that.
...Oh, and she's hot. That too.
As for the Kaname look-alike, they made her look like Kaname on purpose. I think they did it to draw out certain feelings Sousuke has for Kaname without actually listening in on his thoughts. So first he goes with her because she looks like her, but then everything she says regarding life, trust and friendship is completely opposite to the things Kaname would say. And then he snaps out of his daze long enough to realize that it isn't Kaname and what he's doing is wrong (though he probably doesn't understand why).
...Sousuke's only human... he can't always wear the white armor with the
big 'S' on the front all the time...
as for Leonard? He's seriously stuck on her, and he ain't gonna rest till she's
his -- mind, body and soul -- given how all of Kaname's attempts to shut him
down only made his desire for her increase
Leonard found Kaname different from the mass, and found her different aspects appealing.
As said, the prostitute was Kaname's opposite, and through the experience Sousuke remembered how precious Kaname was. Except to lose the will to live later...

Hmm, another question comes to mind. In that episode, Sousuke said that he never had any alcohol because he thinks it would mess up his thought(he was in a hotel room with the hooker girl, remember?)
But in the earlier episode when he was in a bar with Kurz, wasn't he drinking alcohol then? It didn't make sense to me.
Or something like that.
