About the 'Anime Mission' book...

To those who have it... what can you say about the part of the book that pertains to the mecha? Without knowledge of Japanese, that's the part of the book I want most, and need most.

Is it so informative as to justify buying the book for the mecha part alone? For a mecha head like me, of course.

Well, just took a quick count and there are about 16 pages of Mecha info and designs. There are lot of pics- mutiple angels, focus on particular parts, lots of the weapons and showing them being wielded.

Only downside I see is that they are on the small side- no pic is more than half the size of the page and most are smaller. However the lines are still pretty clear. I;m going to guess it's worth it, esp since it's a cheapish book if you can get it shipped at a good price

By the by... I wish not to bother you further, but I've been getting sleepless nights over this and it'll be some time before I get the book m'self... how tall is that freaking Shadow?!

When you get the book, post and let us know if it was what you wanted....

As for the height- if that info is in the book, I missed it.
Your post made me realize that there is one thing missing from the mission book, and that's a comprehensive AS profile section.
(listing stuff like heights, weights, top speeds, special abilities, ect)

That stuff *is* in some other FMP books, but not this one :-x
(also in the DVD booklets, I think) What a pain.

I'll look for that info for you, but I'm not sure if it was ever given- the info on the enemy ASs is really sketchy (mostly unknowns). We wouldn't want you to be totally sleepless over it

Nope, no height on the Shadow. All I ever found were the M-9, ARX-7 and RK-92.

Don't you just love that about FMP? So militaristically realistic to the point that even enemy machine statistics are unavailable.

If any of you guys can look it up, that'd be really great.
