Well, someone might go through the trouble of writing up summaries of how the game goes. I mean, someone on the SRWG boards did it for SRWJ.

Well, it's on shelves now (in Japan), available for import from Play-Asia.

For FMP mecha heads, it seems the M6 is in this game. (it was ommited in J)

Yeah, I played a bit of it. Very nice system. Though Nadesico got seriously boned in W. =| No Post-movement attacks, and only Ruri and Yurika... ;_; But yeah, we're getting a bit more of FMP! in W than we have before. M6 technically did appear in J, but only for a short pre-battle thing that dealt with Mao vs Tessa, though we never see any real combat. Sosuke being suspicious of Mamoru(GaoGaiGar) as being a possible terrorist = XDXDXD

M6 and Savage... evidently, they can function very well on the Moon's gravity.

Its probably explained by crazy mechanics from the various series involved or whatever. Like how in J, the M9s and Arbalest were modified by Uribatake(Nadesico) to be able to fight in space.
