On the first one, seems like the eyes are either too far down or too sunken backwards. But the realism is almost tangible! I'm very much looking forward to the finished work! (and what a challenge that must be!)
Wows on the second one! Sousuke is really bulk - but the general feel of the picture is magic! Kaname's hair looks like it's the right length always shown in the series, you've got that perfected!
I have no idea how to do any realistic/computer photo picture making on my own -- your work is major impressive!! Keep it up General GM!

...first one's quite interesting. Miz nailed it on the head about it beign quite
tangible. You SURE you're not hiring models off the street we don't know
about there GeneralGM? The one thing that irks me about the second
is the position of Sousuke's right hand... in his position, it seems too low
for him to be holding it there comfortably. Other than that, DEFINATE
Sousuke rabid fangirl bait!

On a good day, a Tomahawk can fly into the door of a two-car garage at the distance of several hundred miles. And that can ruin your whole day.

XD well no, I don't hire models, I'm a lowly poor college student. However, I did reference a picture from one of the professor's books here at UTA (University of Texas in Arlington) I talked to him about learning anatomy and he recommended me to start off by doing facial work. The dude was so rad he gave me a copy of a copy of a book he wrote. This picture I used was a good reference because 1. the lighting is pretty straight forward and 2. the facial structure matches closely to Kaname's (curvy and slender like). Prof Dernzik told me that this was a good starting point for cartoon realism. He however does get models to pose for him XD, lucky bastard. As for the 2nd picture, I tried this pose myself and I will admit that this pose is hard, it is plausible, but hard. I referenced myself for body detail (I'm not ripped like THAT, but heh, im getting there.)

...if he loaned you a book, see if he can't maybe let you in on a session
with a real model. Truely, nothing beats that to make sure you get the
pose and proportions right.
Keep us posted on developments!

Incredible work indeed, but now it almost seems Kaname's having
a bad hair day... that or she just hasn't visited a barber shop in awhile.
I think you might be able to get away with brushing her right-hand side
bangs to the right away from her eyes... just my 0.02
